I'm making the trip up this afternoon with a few buddies and we're looking forward to a competitive game. Here in San Diego there is a lot of excitement about this game, and our chance to clinch a share of the championship. We are not taking the Pokes lightly and our team/fans know WYO can win games like you did last year at the Q. That kid Smith is a great quarterback and we will need to keep him contained to keep you guys off the scoreboard.

With that being said, where is the place to go Friday night in Laramie and after the game? We are planning to stay and watch the basketball game in the evening at the AA and want to make the most out of our stay. Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving.

Howdy! Enjoy your trip to Laramie! Lots of places to hit up in downtown Laramie (in the 3rd and Grand area).. a few bars, a few good restaurants.. the Laramie natives would be better to guide you, but hard to go wrong downtown.

Brett is an animal, after you guys giving up so many yards to Carr, I am thinking Smith is in for a field day, especially as well as he has been playing.

But for good times in Laramie the Buckhorn downtown is a loud and rowdy bar. The Cowboy Bar, then there is the Cowboy Saloon.
The Library is a great place to go pre-game (and during and post game).
The Library is across the street from the dorms and only a few block from the stadium.

Make sure to get a shirt that says "Don't lie to your mom, tell her you are at the library". lol classic shirt.

I hate thanksgiving weekend games because half of the students are gone. I have no idea how the crowds will be.
When you go to the hoops game (thanks for comin to support the pokes) the crowd will not be anything like we will come conference play. It kind of irritates me and is borderline embarrassing at times how lame the crowd is out of conference play.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. We have both Bakersfield and WYO on the schedule so it will be good to check both teams out.

What ever happened to Carter-Samuels? He's at Vandy but was doing a solid job for you guys.

Austyn Carta-Samuels left WYO after his sophomore season, when we finished 3-9.
The reason? No body still really knows the whole truth. But there are a lot of different stories.
But the most accepted reason is that he had a falling out with the team, coaches and players included.
There is a story that he was having issues because he wanted more control of the playbook.
There is a story that he saw how good Brett Smith was, and "saw the writing on the wall".
Multiple stories, no one really knows the truth except for himself and the coaches.

In b-ball, I believe this year we split with you guys. After all you did beat us in Laramie, and we took you to OT in SD.
And both teams should destroy Bakersfield.
