I've heard Austin Fort has committed to Wyoming!

He has a quick release. Some of those throws he did, his o-line was almost immediatly overwhelmed, but he fired it off and hit his reciever in stride, many times, downfield. I like it.

On a related note, Taven Bryan (OL/DL recruit from Wyoming) has offers from all over the country from places like Nebraska, Florida, Tennessee, Cal, Washington, and I think Oregon too. Along with offers from us, the sheep, and the fluffs as well.

I think Bryan may be the most heavily D1 recruited kid from Wyoming.

Austin will be Thompson's competition for the starting spot post-Smith.....always fun to see a local kid play for Cowboys. Always hard to gauge talent level when the athlete plays at such a low level of competition, but he'll have time to adjust to FBS before his time to compete arrives.

Don't forget that Cade Smith holds an offer from Wyoming as well. QB depth chart just keeps looking better and better!

if we get Cade Smith....potential to add weight and move Fort to defense?

That's pretty impressive.
Props to DC for getting him.
Would love if we got the NC kid though. He isn't just good for wyoming, he is just flat out good. Tons of PAC12 teams have offered him.

Cade SMith is getting a lot of attention already.. it'll be tough for UW to land him.

I think Brett's family loves Wyo thus far, as does Brett. I certainly think we'll have a chance to land him

Hard to tell. If Brett breaks every Wyoming record as we expect him to do... Cade may not want that hype or may want to make his own name at another school.

I'm sure Brett would have loved to stay home and play at OSU....whether people like it or not, Brett chose Wyoming because he had few choices....it does not appear Cade will be in that situation.

Actually J-Rod I think Smith is not a Beaver fan at all, and wanted to play at Oregon because his dad was a QB there in the 70's I think.
Of course had OSU offered I think he probably would have taken the offer and stayed in-state.

Anyways, I will have no problem if Cade goes to OSU or Wyo.

But I think that Brett being so good is what is getting Cade so much attention.
He would have been getting some attention for sure but Cade is bigger, stronger, and faster, than Brett was at Cade's age, and they all know how good Brett is now, so they are probably just thinking well he is going to be even better.

From all that I can gather on Taven Bryan, he has no early favorites, but he mentions "California, Washington, Nebraska, Colorado, Arizona, Stanford, and Tennessee" as the schools recruiting him the "hardest". I'm assuming those schools are the one's he's entertaining.....cause I have a hard time believing CDC wouldn't be after this kid hard.

Some believe Nebraska is the favorite, but Taven himself has listed no favorites.

Haha yeah that's because the picture rivals.com has of him is in a husker shirt. They probably shouldn't do that but I'm sure nebraska isn't complaining.

Austin Fort congrats on the UW commitment! I like it. Hope he has a stellar senior year in Gillette. Good job UW, now lets go get some stud linemen.

Well now that Austin Fort is committing to Wyo and Bryan committed to Florida, I hope Gillette takes it to NC in Laramie in the state title game.
