Austin Fort vs. Taven Bryan

The one thing that is impressive with the Wyoming contingent is 1/3 have played in over 100 NFL games. Nice careers for most.

I don'b believe he is in the league anymore but Chris Cooley for the Redskins had a Wyoming connection, I do not remember if it was high school or him being born here though

Is Fort even the best quarterback on his team????

Seriously

Peace

Enlighten us, for those that don't know WTF you are talking about.
When Fort has been hurt or suspended this season, the backup QB for the Camels has come in and played better than Fort. He led them to wins against Central and Natrona. The name escapes me, but he is a much better passer than Fort.

The season is still young and Fort missed a lot of reps in preseason and because of injury. Has only played total of 10 quarters. He was hurt prior to the Natrona game but still played and probably would have had the lead before he left if it wasn't for 2 fumbles. He was removed because he rolled his ankle again. In the Central game the score was 7-3 Gillette in heavy rain before he was injured in the second quarter. After he left Gillette lost the lead then came back. Last game Fort threw 180 yards and 2 TD's, no INT, ran for 80 yards against Sheridan who had the number 1 defense. Coaching staff tend to call more running plays when Fort is in the game so passing opportunities have been limited so far.

Good info. Question for you - obviously DC & staff see D1 talent in Fort, what are your thoughts? As QB? Safety? WR?

Definitely QB. Maybe WR. Not a safety. Was recruited by DC as QB. Lots of potential but needs coaching/development. Throwing accuracy is underrated.

I don't think the state of Wyo is represented well in the NFL.
Sure a few players out of such a small population looks good, but the reality is it's like what 2, or 3 players?
Diamonds in the rough for sure. Not the norm.

Pro Bull Riding. Now that is where the state of Wyoming is represented well in.

Look at the number of NFL players from the state of Montana.. it's a staggering number.

Montana has a great football legacy, particularly with coaches. I think John Elway's dad is from Montana as is Sonny Lubick and the Petrino clan. I'm sure there are others.
