Mountain West Conference - Odds to Win the Championship Game Odds
Boise State -300
San Diego State +700
Utah State +900
Colorado State +1200
Air Force +1600
Fresno State +1600
San Jose State +2000
Hawaii +3300
Nevada +3300
Wyoming +3300
New Mexico +10000
UNLV +30000

A hundred on Wyoming could make you 3300. These odds are off the Doc Sports website. Any thoughts on any of the teams? General impressions: Boise not worth the payout, SDS usually under performs, CSewe is starting over but they are the one team I might put a few bucks on. It really pains me to say that. It is my impression (hopefully, I'm wrong) that the sheep are getting better athletes than at any time since the early days of the Sonny Lubick era.

Happy wagering!

I'd pass to be honest. BSU just inherited the weak cross-divisional slate USU has had for years. Even if they are upset once, they'll still likely make it to and host the title game. USU on the other hand, inherits the toughest MW slate anyone could ask for.

So yeah, I'd pass altogether.

Some of the o/u win totals in the MW though...those are interesting. Anxious for the UW-UND spread that should come out in 10 days or so.

Boise St. is free money.

Yeah! Pass on what?!?! $33.33 on a $100 bet? I'm in. I'm always a sucker for ML's on Boise despite the return. SDSU might be pretty damn good this year and Long seems to have Boise's number the last few years. Maybe some value there with their schedule.

On a sidenote, seattle; I wrote some disparaging things in another thread referring to anyone who still thinks Stanard needs time. My wording was harsh and I wanted to apologize to you if it came across directed towards you. It was not.

I'm sure you probably didn't see it and even if you did, didn't give it a second thought because you're a cool dude. Anyway, good luck to every one this year and I'm looking at 1st week ML's on Boise, Alabama and Stanford.

hithere, no worries man. I did see it but I knew you weren't talking to me. I was actually laughing about the hulk hogan reference.

Good luck this year man. Personally I never play futures. If any of you do good luck. I only play games that occur on that day. Been making a lot of money with baseball and getting ready to add college football and NFL to the slate now. I do this year round. I'll take a look at your money lines you like the first week.

I use heritagesports . I think they are the best. I get paid every week no questions asked . Always get paid very next day after a withdrawal request.

A lot of people also use 5dimes, Bookmaker and Bovada.

If you have any questions just ask Beav. I'm sure these other guys probably play at one of those I listed but they may have a different book also. :thumb:

I have been on the fence about doing it for a while.
I want to, but I don't want to do it at the wrong place. I have been trying to do some research on it before I commit.

Is it straight forward? Make a deposit, play with your $$$, bet on a game here, a game there, win some lose some, (hopefully) build up some $$$ over time and make a withdrawal request, get paid?

Beaver I use Bovada FWIW.

I read some stuff about Bovada, and the reviews were overwhelmingly good- for the first half. The more recent reviews were very negative.

All these reviews were related to payout.

How has payout been for you?

I've never had any problems.

I don't use a website but I'd do whatever seattlecowboy, Cuttslam or bladerunnr suggests. Wyovanian seems to know his shit too. I'm lucky enough to live within driving distance of some good brick and mortar books.

My important tip is to not bet parlays. I like ML parlays but I'm doing it more for entertainment value than anything; in the long run even if a site doesn't charge extra vig, you're going to take on more variance for not much extra payout. And even though losing a six or seven team regular card by a half a point can make you want to put a hole in your TV, the entertainment value is really quite fun. That is, if you're dead inside, like me.

Pick your sport that you're most comfortable with and read up on betting. I consider the first four weeks of college football season my prime season, but everyone is different. Take advantage of seattlecowboy offering to answer any questions. Stick with your gut once you've researched and made your picks; don't let people talk you out of anything. Don't ever pay for picks.

Good luck, ya little turd with eyes Jizzsock. :)

Yeah pretty much how you said it is how it works. Main thing is get with a good book who pays out but sounds like you have that covered.
