I guess I'm looking at it differently. I was rooting for BYU. They are going to be bowl eligible no matter what, same with Utah, TCU, & AFA. If those guys can help keep some other schools from getting eligible like CSU, NM, UNLV then that works to our advantage. Luckily blowout losses still only count as one loss, so I'm hoping we can play better than we have this year, win out against teams with losing records and end up 1 of only 5 MWC teams Bowl eligible. We needed BYU, Utah, and TCU to win, it was just about a perfect weekend.
This week the Utah-TCU won't impact the Pokes but will be fun to watch. BYU-SDSU won't impact the Pokes either (so I guess an SDSU win would be funny/preferred). I think we need AFA to beat CSU, UNLV to beat NM, and of course the Pokes need to beat the Vols. Thus far UNLV and CSU have played better than we have against conference opponents, but I am still pulling for our guys to play better down the stretch and get to a bowl game.

TK...did you really just type the sentence "the Pokes need to beat the Vols" thinking there was a possibility? No way in HELL does that happen...and I would want nothing more than a Cowboy victory...but a down year for Tennessee is a wee bit different (unfortunately) than a down year for UW!

I understand it is unlikely, but so was winning a bowl game in 2004 after finishing in the bottom half of the MWC. So was getting bowl eligible and screwed out of one (by NM) in 2006 after starting 1-4. So was beating Virginia, or TCU last year. Yes, I do think it is possible if we play our best game of the year and Tennessee plays as bad as they have at times this year.
I understand a down Tenn team is not like a down UW. Just because they are an SEC team doesn't mean they could steamroll the MWC, they would finish in the middle of the MWC this year near AFA in my opinion. Like I say, hope is all I've got for at least one more week.
So it is official, I hope we win (think it is unlikely), you think there is no way we win (but still hope we do).
Someday we will laugh about this. Maybe Saturday night.

Give em hell. I really don't think Tenn is worse than Bowling Green and we both know what they did to us at home no less, I just gotta hang onto something. Wish I could be there with ya, it will be a far cry from the crowd (oximoron) last Saturday.
