Build a winning program and play for something meaningful, the fans of Wyoming will be there. 7100 fans, for women's basketball game, with not the greatest spring weather, in the least populated state in the country, when the game was on TV, and so were the NCAA men's sweet 16 games on TV...speaks volumes about the fanbase.

It also says an awful lot about the state of the men's program. Given even a glimmer - A FREAKIN' GLIMMER - of hope and something to be excited about, you can get 7,000 into that arena (not to take anything away from the Cowgirls). I could not be any more down about the men's program than I am today. I see absolutely no reason for hope. Sure, we've signed some guys that "fill our needs," but last I checked, we only have a couple of schollies. If we are going to fill all of our needs, we need, say, 10 scholarships, a couple of open jobs at the Assistant Coach spot and most certainly one at the top of the ticket. Joe Dooley. Jeremy Cox. Billy Gillespie. Someone for heaven's sake. As it stands - we are, I fear, in store for another 3,500 attendance average (at best), horrific record and almost insurmountable fan apathy. Why oh why did Heath justify another year?
