Arroyo leaving

RIvals is reporting that Greg Brandon will be taking over Offensive coordinator at Wyoming. Apparently Arroyo is off to the pac-12. I think Brandon is an upgrade, he was a head coach at Bowling Green and the o-coordinator at Virginia. I always thought Arroyo was a pussie with his play calling anyways.

Brandon was also the recievers coach under Coach Roach so he knows what it takes to win at UW. I think this is a great hire.

So, no more East/West run plays on 3rd and long then? HOORAY!

But what PAC-12 school is desperate enough to want Arroyo?

Apparently CAL lol

good to get the experience on O. I think Inexperienced coaches and not making halftime adjustments has hurt us.

On paper I think this is a huge upgrade.

Any wager on Ashton Crater Smithson going to Cal? Place your bets, place your bets!

Major upgrade for OC IMO. And although Arroyo was young (he related well to the players) I am not sure he was a great hire to begin with...maybe as QB coach...but not OC.

As of right now Cal has no O- coordinator, but what I'm hearing is Arroyo will be QB coach. Looked at Cal's roster and they have about 6 QB's on their roster right now.

DC just did what Glenn would not.

Had Glenn had let his OC, cockhill, go early, when it was obvious he was in over his head, then Joe might still be coaching at WYO. Instead he stuck with a poor OC and it probably cost him his job at UW.

kudos for DC for being aggressive and not hesitating to improve his staff.

Guess things are starting to make more sense now as the smoke clears and we see what was the cause of it all. I would say this change was planned for some time just not released to the public and makes perfect sense now.

Gregg Brandon is a good step in right direction and I absolutely agree Glenn was to loyal to his OC and in the end it cost him his job. I really hope to see a better run O next season and less 3 and out running sideline to sideline.

What's probably the best couple of things about this, is that:
1. Greg Brandon has been here before and was a proven coach then (3 bowl games and 2 conference titles)
2. Worked under Urban Meyer with the spread, and has had great offenses.
3. Took him from a BCS school.

I thought he was let go at Virginia when Groth was fired last year. Where did he coach in 09 and 2010?
It gave the offense's stats for the 2010 season in the cowboy altitude article, and said he had been the OC from '09-'10. Never said he was let go or anything.
