Look, I'm not saying we need anarchy, I'm saying let people sit in the lower fucking bowl if there are literally hundreds or thousands of available seats, and check tickets once or twice. FIGURE IT OUT. And if there is a problem with a shitty system acknowledge it and don't just say "WHAT IF SOMEONE SAT IN YOUR SEAT AND YOU HAD TO ASK THEM TO MOVE?!" like it is the worst thing a fan could ever experience.
It's reserved seating. Key word being reserved.

And you are exactly the type of person I am speaking of.

Have you missed the part about the thousands of empty seats each and every game? Who the hell are these tickets reserved for?

Ugh, why even try, I know people have tried explaining this concept to you.
Since when did you become such a dick? It seems like you have to argue just to argue. It's not fucking rocket science. People pay for season tickets. Those are their seats. They are reserved for them. That's the concept. Just because all powerful Beaver thinks he should be able to sit in any seat in any venue because theyre empty doesn't mean that's the real world. Climb off your fucking high horse, you don't have the answer to everything.

No I don't have the answer to everything. Actually I just repeated the same thing several other people have said. And I get the concept. It's a shitty concept when the lower bowl is empty though. Also, im not a dick. And I argue when I disagree with someone else. Like how you said Wyo to Washington football is a lateral move. I disagreed so I argued. Doesn't mean im a dick though.

If I misread the tone of your posts, I apologize. When you say things like "ugh, why even try, I know people have already tried explaining the concept to you" it really seems like it's a notch past simple disagreement. It sure sounds like condescension which kinda makes you a dick. If I'm reading that wrong, then I am sorry.

I mean to an extent yeah. There was also a lot of annoyances because it just goes in circles with him on this subject.

Maybe he's annoyed with you too...

There's plenty of exceptions to "reserved". If you reserve the VIP room at cheetahs and don't show up, they give it to someone else and let them drink the champagne you've purchased. It's reserved up until the moment it's unused. Should be able to upgrade for a nominal fee or something, say a few bucks. That'd be the shit. I'd throw a few bucks to upgrade to lower bowl for a game

No. Why does that matter and why would I care if someone used my seat if I wasn't there? Most reasonable people I know in rock springs offer to GIVE their tickets away if they are unused or they won't be able to attend.

The biggest point here, IMO, isn't that people should be able to sit wherever they please. It's that someone (*cough* AD *cough*) needs to find a solution to the problem of so many prime seats going unused.

To me the answer is three-fold:

1) As has been stated here, set up a ticket exchange system where fans not attending a game can either A) sell, B) give to charity, boys & girls etc., or C) release to the University to re-sell for that game.

2) Educate the fans about this ticket exchange, instill in them a semblance of responsibility to make sure their seat does not go unused.

3) Set a new policy, put it on the tickets, educate everyone..."Beginning at the start of the second half, unused seats may be occupied by paid ticket holders". Essentially, if you aren't there by the end of halftime, don't be surprised to see someone in your seat (they will still have to move if you show up late).

Am I missing anything? I feel that that is fair, will allow for less prime seats going cold, and will put an end to incessant ticket checking after the half.

I was wondering because you said you wouldn't mind paying a few bucks to upgrade to lower bowl. So I was wondering if you had upper bowl season tickets.

No need to get worked up over someone asking if you had season tickets. As for why would you care if someone used your seat... uhh idk... i wasnt even thinking about that.

I really do get the feeling lately that we aren't going to see much more improvements in any facility for quite some time.

They don't seem overly interested in finishing off the upgrades to the AA. They don't seem overly interested in upgrading the west side of the War. I think our facilities upgrades in the athletics department is about to grow cold. I hope i'm wrong.
Source? Is this just your opinion? Are you saying this because of one poorly written article? It seems like we are ramping things up with the RAC expansion and War renovation. The article said that the AA renovations were going forward. I'm confused about the doom and gloom

It is my opinion. I'm not saying the renovations aren't going forward. I'm just starting to doubt the direction of the athletics department lately.

There are things they are going to improve on. There are a couple of important things. But nothing in there says 'wow' to me. All i see is some out of date things that need taken care of and then the plan ends....

The "high-altitude training center" seems pretty splashy to me. I don't think too many other MWC schools have such nice training facilities.

Article is poorly worded but I am excited about the future of the AA. I just wish people would show up and support the boys and girls.
The event staff today was much better than they have been. The lady at our portal said they had a lot of pissed off calls so they were far more relaxed today. :thumb:

can we upgrade the security crew doing the ticket checks too...lol...i can't see us having a home court advantage anymore, as when I go and get a bit excited and cheer and yell and the people that have given me their "powerful" season tickets, the others around there look at me like i have the plague. It's a basketball game not the library. if you are a fan prove it to me. I understand alot of it, but if I don't use profanity what's the difference....Saturday there was so much silence all i heard was the coaches barking their plays etc....sure hope it changes come conference season
