Are we there?

I admire your dedication to your program. But you guys are simply giving a cold shoulder to fans like myself and lakesbison because we haven't been fans for as long as you. I hate that mentality. Feels like I'm back in high school.

Does Craig Bohl's $20,000 donation to the Cowboy Joe Club carry less importance because he wasn't donating through previous years? After all, he didn't donate before becoming coach and probably won't continue donating after he leaves. But that doesn't make his contributions for the time he was in Laramie any less important, does it?

1. Your quote - "I think outsiders have had more faith in him as a coach than the majority of the Wyoming fan base. I guess that's one thing that's bugged me since I started posting here. Nobody believes." You are talking about having faith / belief in a new coach. A new coach that (again) has basically done nothing at Wyoming - at this point. Let's start back at that comment, to see where the cold shoulder is coming from. We all hope that Bohl wins a MNC at Wyoming - and we will all be here to see it - regardless. But don't belittle the fanbase (or a large portion of it) for not instantly being on board with Bohl. We have been through many battles...we are a bit guarded.

2. I don't know how to respond to that. I am ashamed he didn't donate more TBH. 2.5% of his annual gross...is that all? bWHYu would kick him out for that small of donation / tithing. Every bit counts though, so as a fan, it sure is nice to see (was nice to see from DC and his entire staff as well though). OTOH, Joe Tiller continues to contribute to Wyoming (as a past UW football coach). I would hope Bohl would do the same, I mean, at those salary levels, why not - tax deduction is tax deduction.

Did you guys figure out who's peepee is bigger yet?

We are going to measure on 10/22 at the end of the Boise game. Since the game more than likely will be at night.

So, it isn't really whose peepee is bigger, it is whose peepee is less small (or is better insulated).

You mean 11/22, right?

Whoa whoa whoa. Lay off joshvanklomp. No need for the bickering. Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean we gotta go all out with the "just leave already" shit.

This couldn't be any more ironic, haha. BP telling someone else to not take things personally.

I say this in a very lighthearted way, BP.

Of course. Wouldn't make sense for Boise to have played us at night a couple of Wednesday's ago.

I don't know if we're "there" yet, but it sure was good to wake up Sunday morning and read that game recap of the Fresno game. Looks like everyone played lights out, including Colby, who as we know I have been very critical of. He made me shut my mouth last weekend, for sure. I hope for more games like this in the future. It helped take the sting off all the money I lost in Deadwood Halloween weekend! :thumb:

Lol I got ya, but at the same time, I never said don't take things personally....

I said no need for "GTFO because I disagree".

If you do have a dick measuring contest on 11/22, I suggest you wear Boise State jerseys while you do it, especially considering how cold it's likely to be. :)

Good idea. I was going to put on a Steelers jersey for the contest.

I think everybody would do well not taking everything so damn personal. :)

While I certainly agree with your post...and as somebody else mentioned, guess I will just disagree.

It pisses me off that a fly-by-night fan of our football head coach (and that is all he is - when Bohl is gone, so is he), is telling me (a 45+ year fan of Wyoming) that because I am not drinking the koolaid, and not INSTANTLY believing our new head coach is the next coming of Bear Bryant, that I should be ashamed to call my self a fan...and basically that I am not a fan.

Fuck that. I have literally given hundreds of thousand of dollars to the University of Wyoming, via season tickets, foundation, art museum, COB, CJC, and numerous other donations, as well as many more tens of thousands in tuition and fees over many decades. I have endured 6 decades of Wyoming athletics, the ups, the downs, the new coaches, the expectations, the everything.

And so with that - when Bohl wins MWC championships, or when Bohl is no longer coaching because he fell on his ass (either one) - I will STILL be a supporter of everything Wyoming. EVERYTHING.

Passion runs deep for true Cowboys. This is not just a passing fancy, it's a real obsession.
Good stuff Peachy. You don't hire gunslingers by the bullet.

Does Bohl have this team believing in themselves or what? Wyoming has been decimated by injuries, but that was never an excuse for them. We have a QB who is 5th string last year and last night 2 freshman running backs demolished a defense. Offensive line is missing starters, d-line was using a 200lbs d-end but still found a way into the backfield for a sack. Secondary and linebackers are all missing, but it shows that the staff's mentality is starting to stick to the team.
Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. I am looking forward to Friday as this game was huge confidence boost no last second win or last second lost the emotional high can carry them. Fill the War!

This is a great post and well said. :thumb: I hope WYO can build on the W over Fresno. Friday's showdown at home with Utah State is a biggie. I'd call it a "must win" for us because Boise State is next (after a bye). The Broncos have given us trouble over the years.
