Anyone else going to Boulder this fall?

I went the last time, and regretted the FUK out of it. Not going for the repeat. Those fans may very likely be worse than sheep fans. And now with prime-time-neon-deion, their heads are as big as his, making it worse. I just hope we don't continue the Wyoming way, and piss our pants at coin flip.

I normally attend 2-3 Cowboy football games a year. I went to the Idaho and BYU games last season. It was greatly disappointing to see the incompetence on display in both games.

I won’t be going to any more games until they get rid of the coaching clown show they currently have in place now. Burman needs to go, too. When will he finally figure out that nepotism, especially spawned from mediocrity, is not the way to improve a foundering program? The contract he signed with Sawvel will haunt the football program for at least the next four years.

As much as I love the University of Wyoming, I refuse to reward them with my hard-earned money. Someone else can do it!

Not often that we can get a P4 road game less than a day's drive away. Got to take advantage when we can.
I used to go to CU games when they were in the Big 8, or whatever it used to be. The biggest problem is parking. You'll probably have to pay to park in someone's lot unless you try and park on the street in a residential neighborhood. But you might have to hoof it a long way. The students are drunk and high before the game so be ready. There are some good restaurants close to the stadium. I recommend "The Sink". Mostly pizza and sandwiches - but famous because Robert Redford bussed tables there.

Do you mean back in Christensen's first year when we got shut out? I was at that game and the fans were so bored they left in the 3d quarter. And let's be realistic - when's the last time we went on the road to a P4 school and didn't get the shit kicked out of us? We will be at least 20 point dogs.

I haven't buried Sawvel yet but we could have saved some coin on a first time HC

Burman and UW aren't worried about spending money. Look at his salary of $551k, they could pay him 1/3 of that and we would get the same results and he wouldn't get a different job. Nobody else is going to pay him to do this ANYWHERE else. Then UW is spending $60 million for a new pool, never mind the city of Laramie just built the best pool in the state across the street. No way UW could just put a few million into that and get involved with it. Plus the $80 million for the new seating at War Memorial that will be about half full for our big games against UTEP and San Jose State. The legislature, BOT and administration at UW have no financial guardrails. It's out of control.

Burman said wyo will revenue share preferably by more outside revenue or through cost reduction as a last resort.

1 HUGE problem, a significant chunk of current ad revenue comes from taxpayers and student fees. Until there is 0 coming from students and 0 coming from taxpayers, I'm not sure how anyone can support paying athletes from the ad budget? It boggles the mind that UW would even suggest this.

As bad as the Cowboys looked against a bad Buffs team that day, its still pretty amazing that they went on go 7-6 that year.

It's because they switched QBs after that game to Austyn-Carta Samuels, wish he would have played against CU, bet it would have been a different game!
It couldn't have been worse. I'm not sure we crossed mid field until the second half and even then, we never threatened to score. In fact, that game reminds me of our awful performance against Idaho last year. Not only did we not change qb's, we kept playing the same one for 6 more games. Two more seasons of Vic, I mean Sawvel, and then Burman will wow us once again with his coaching selection prowess.

I am not sure Burman will make a change even after another abysmal season. Sawvel’s contract is too prohibitive. It was a really stupid decision to sign him long term for a large amount of guaranteed money.

I went in 97 (I think) when we blew it and should have beaten them. Overall, at that time, their fans were great. Tailgate was fun and they were very hospitable. WAY better than csu fans. That was a long time ago, so who knows now. I wouldn’t mind going again, but I want to see what kind of team we actually have before spending a whole lot more money than I did in the 90’s. My ticket then was $50, and for a student, it was pretty much my weekend budget for just the ticket! Had we won, it would have been awesome! Instead I remember cussing the whole way out of the stadium! I’m not ready to write off Sawvel just yet. I think he’s got more of an edge of confidence this spring. Kind of like the end of the season last year. Maybe he’s got something brewing? We shall see!

I travel to Colo-fornia for work. I won’t spend a dime of my own money to pay sales taxes for their liberal state agenda. Not a chance!
I loved seeing all the "hands off" protests with adult protesters yelling "fuck trump" when most bodies in attendance were under the age of 12. You stay classy LibOrado.

I guess WSU last year did not count? Or Texas ?

Generally Wyoming lacks the depth of talent to compete over the course of an entire game.

If one single Cowboy laid a hand on the the kick returner on either the punt or kick off that he took to the house, might have had a different outcome.

Is a game that would be fantastic to win!! I hope for the best! I'm not sure our decision process has positioned us for success though.
