I don't know if it's this year, 2017, 2018, but were about to win titles in football and hoops in the same season.

I'm feeling the good vibes now. Hopefully, UW athletics continues on this seeming upward trajectory. Good hoops and good football makes for a happy WyoNation.
 
College coaches started taking notice of Anthony Mack's talents when he was a freshman at Catholic High, and now he's ready to take the next step in his playing career.

Mack has decided he will play his college basketball at Wyoming. He chose the Cowboys over Villanova, Georgia, Saint Louis and Missouri. The 6-foot-6 guard is currently a senior at Blair Academy in New Jersey.

Wyoming won the Mountain West Conference two years ago and had an eventual first-round NBA draft pick on its team that year.

Mack says it was a long process, and he thanked God and every coach who recruited him, including UAlbany's Will Brown, who helped him with the process. In the end, Wyoming coach Allen Edwards, who won two national championships as a player at Kentucky, won him over.

Totally agree. :thumb: We look to be getting better at shooting the rock as well.

UW men's basketball lands three-star shooting guard Anthony Mack (WyoSports.net)

“He’s a tremendous human being, and an absolute steal for Wyoming,” Blair Academy coach Joe Mantengna said. “He’s a Power 5-level player, and a great culture kid. He’s unselfish, a team-first guy and incredibly hard working kid.”

“The guys at Wyoming were on him before anyone else,” Mantengna said. “They did a great job of laying the groundwork. When Villanova and Georgia decided they were going to delay and not make their decision right away, Anthony decided to go where he was loved from the beginning. It was real easy decision for him to make.”

“He’s a tremendous high-level shooter, and he shoots it to about 25 feet,” Mantengna said. “I think what people don’t realize about the kid is he’s unbelievably competitive, and he’s a very elite defender.

This is a absolute big time get for the Pokes. I thought getting this kid was a long shot . I thought wrong. NOW this is a exciting class!
