An interesting note.

Wyoming has put up over 1100 yards in just 2 games. 76 points. And just 3 TOs. Best of all, it's been a balanced attack, both on the ground and through the air.

And here's a nice stat for defense. We held Idaho to 2.4 yards per rush. Considering what Idaho did last year to our defense, that is a HUGE improvement.

Idaho's playcalling was really weird to me. I hope that was as a result of us being unpredictable on defense and improving to a point they didn't expect.

Also, both interceptions Brett has thrown were ones that can be programmed out of his system.

And Yarbrough. The kid's a player! So happy he picked us over CSU and Az State :D

Wyoming isn't going to play a team better than them until Fresno. As the season plays out, it really does look like UW has a weak schedule. I can't say any game leading up to Fresno will be competitive.

Despite how bad Air Force has looked, I wouldn't overlook them. If ANY team can improve in a hurry, it's them. We _should_ beat them, but weirder things have happened.

Idaho was having success on offense with their "rushing" QB.. but for some reason, kept putting in the other dude. Only time they moved the ball consistently was by running the QB out of the read option. Really bizarre..

That is a dangerous quote. Every team is a potential loss, but we do have Air Force coming up, SJSU wasn't bad last year, CSU could always pull off an upset. The next team I'm worried about is Air Force. They always play us tough.

Was it just me or did Smith seem off on his passes tonight? And when he wasn't off, it seemed like Rufran and a few others had a hard time catching the ball. I think Idaho was getting a bit more pressure on us than we had expected.

Wasn't just you. Seemed like they were having a bad day, especially in the first quarter. The fact that we can still put up over 500 yards and over 40 points on a bad day is awesome regardless of opponent.

I won't complain about the numbers. While I would have enjoyed being up 42-0 at half time before we called off the dogs, they fought hard last Saturday, and even though they had a slow start on offense this week, they turned it around. Our defense needs a few more games like this. The more they get used to stopping other teams and getting us the ball back, all the while getting some recognition, the better. We are going to need it shortly. Air force - we play disciplined defense against them, and the offense torches them through the air and wears them out on the ground, I think we will have one of the best teams we have fielded in the last decade.

Things will get tougher after the Air Force game - and if the defense can play good between now and then, I think it will inspire much confidence into their playing habbits.

I too believe AFA will be tough....UW always seems to struggle with them. Also, Texas State may be a tough game as well. Looks like Franchione might be shaping up a team there.

AFA seems to play most teams tough. I remember during Utahs better years in the MWC before they went to the PAC12, they would dominate the CSUs, and Wyos, but only beat AFA by 7 or 10.
AFA makes teams play their type of football.
It seems that if you can blow AFA out, you are a REALLY good team.

We can not start that slow against Utah st, Fresno . I would say especially Fresno. They can put up points and it could be 21-0 before u know it

Put 2 in the box and have 9 roam around in the secondary and you will stop Fresno.

not really anyone's fault, we gotta play what's in front of us, I can see good things regardless whom it is, we aren't afraid to go anywhere play anyone, the SJSU game is gonna be our tell tale game this year I think
