An apology!

I believe that I owe wyonation and coach Shyatt an apology.

When Coach Shyatt was announced as our coach, I had a really tough time letting go of what had happen in the first-go round. I kind of felt betrayed back then and it has always stuck with me. I love our Cowboys and I felt that we played second fiddle back then. I feel and hope that all coaches at Wyoming put us first and I just felt like we took a back seat.

It has been a little over a month now and Coach Shyatt and the rest of the coaches obviously have worked their butts off producing what I think is a very positive and "haven't seen this in a very long time" recruiting class. I never doubted Coach's coaching ability and with this class he has recruited, I believe things look really good.

I have always been the fool me once shame on you, fool me twice.... kind of guy but with what I have been watching I believe that I have opened back up and am excited about our future!

So, some remarks that I might have said a few months ago I apologize to the board and to Coach Shyatt and I hope that we are back to where our basketball program should be...... a winning program!!

I have to do the same thing then, as I have questioned his loyalty since he was rehired. I have to admit that he and his staff have worked their butts off and have recruited what looks to be a pretty good squad. I admit it when i am wrong and right now it looks as if i was dead wrong and for that I apologize!!!

How loyal were the slick haired con men? Shyatt did a good job before and left for a better opportunity and then had the stones to say he made a mistake and did the things to come back. Now he is busting his butt again and producing without one negative comment of how bad it is in Laramie....blah..blah...blah. What did the slick haired con men do? Talked players into leaving. That is the real betrayal here.

Pony, I guess I don't understand what you are talking about as far as Schroyer goes or what he did.... could care less and glad he is gone. When Coach Shyatt was rehired, I was to be truthful, a little pissed because he left us for Clemson the first time and didn't care if it was his dream job or not. I was really hoping that we would get Billy as our coach and was not high on hiring back Shyatt. After watching the work he has put in, I have had a huge change of heart and glad he is back with us. That is all I was saying. I don't know where you are getting the "slick haired guys" stuff from cause I had nothing to say about them... except I am glad they are gone.

7220 - Didn't mean to imply that you said anything about HS. I agree that we all felt a little betrayed or disappointed when Shyatt left the first time. But, I have a lot harder feelings toward HS for the way he treated the program and the way he left...or quit on the programs and the kids as far as I understand. Glad he is gone too and this will be the last I mention of it. Looking forward to next year and even ponied up and bought season tickets again to demonstrate my commitment.
