Am I missing the Burman thread?

I saw someone quoted me in that thread yesterday and was going to respond today.

I must be blind, but I keep missing it. It was about the article where Burman said he is all in with Bohl.

Gotcha. I thought I was going blind for a minute

Feel free to delete this as well--just board clutter.

Nah, let's just start it up again legitimately...

Burman's a damn nice guy, someone I've known for a long time. That said, his rather narrow executive experience and lack of worldliness is definitely on display in his current position. His position is a job someone should learn from, not learn how.

10 years Burman has been here. I find it very fricking odd that he went from a rah-rah guy in the early days: "We are going to build the best, we are going to improve our facilities, we are going to field great teams" to "We are small, we are remote, we are lucky to exist. We should kiss the ground everyday and hope it doesn't leave us for Colorado."

He really does seem jaded these days.

I want my AD to be an asshole that can get things done. Nice guys that don't ruffle feathers aren't the most successful.

Oh, you mean someone like Lee Moon? The guy that hired Vic Koenning? The guy who put the Athletic Department on it's downward spiral? You want someone like THAT guy?

No thanks.

To be fair Burman had a "Vic Koening" moment when he hired Schroyer. Actually he had two such moments, he also extended schroyer. The Bball program still feels the effects of the hire. If he would have made a program crippling hire in football he would be fired, but apparently bball didn't matter to the decision makers. I don't think he could possibly keep his job if Bohl continues to be a dud.
