Almost conference time....

We're getting close to that time and I haven't been this excited for conference play in years. Looking like the top 5 teams our the Pokes, SDSU, UNLV, Boise State, and CSU. Honestly think we can beat anyone of those 4 at any time, any place. New Mexico is probably a little tougher then I give them credit for too and might be a dark horse. This year I want us to play with no fear cause we can beat them all. Let's go Pokes! Play with some passion, pride, and play hard for that Wyoming jersey on your chest. That's all I've ever really wanted out of our teams and this team really does that in spades.

First up knock em down UNLV!!!

SDSU doesn't have much of a consistent offense. UNLV survives on talent alone, because coaching doesn't do them any favors. Boise has the opposite problem of SDSU, in that they don't do much on defense. For us, at home, we have a chance at beating nearly anyone. On the road, nearly anyone can beat us. The sheep seem to be the only really solid team.

Now excuse me while I go rinse my mouth out with acid.

Honestly from what I have seen from this team Wyoming will go 9-9 or 10-8 in conference.

They play well at home but they can still be beat and on the road we can be beat by Nevada or Fresno. I think the only road game i can say is a for sure win would be San Jose St. Anyone else can beat us.

Unless something changes we are looking at around a .500 conference record this year in my opinion.

I'm going for a more optimistic call of 13-5 or 14-4. I think we get things figured out on the road against lesser competition within the league. We drop a game or 2 that we shouldn't while winning a game or 2 we shouldn't. Of course we SWEEP the greeniest of the greenies this year

Because you know what? I think they're overrated as shit always.

This is about my thinking also. A probable 5th place finish.

If last season is any indicator of how our players are figuring out the MWC, I think we will be fine.
We were becoming a legit threat and winning some games and almost winning games in ABQ and Vegas. We were without a doubt on the verge.

If we can win these next few OOC games including a road win, knock of a poorly coached UNLV team at home, then go into San Jose and get a win, we will be on a 5 game win streak, 13-2, 2-0 in MWC, and 2-2 on the road, when going into FoCo.

This is one of the most important and underrated parts of our schedule right now. These are all games that won't convince anyone we are great if we win, but will convince people we aren't legit if we lose any of them.

The beauty of this is that Nance should be getting stronger and stronger each and every day. He has 3.5 weeks until the CSU game to get even stronger.
Hopefully by then we are indeed 13-2, and ready to go and take on a real team on the road.
