ALL THAT EFFORT and we get stuck with UNLV

MWC doesn’t get a single at large big into this years tournament. Not only that, but the regular season and tournament champion is given a 9 seed. Ouch.

I was shocked to see New Mexico wasn't in the "First Four Out", I thought they'd have been able to clear Indiana or Auburn in the selection process, but I guess losing a bunch of games gets you into contention as long as you wear the right conference patch.

Unfortunately there is zero chance Wyoming would be able to play postseason since the CBI is not happening in 2026 and the NIT won’t be inviting Wyoming anytime soon. The other pay to play options are gone as well.

I see zero chance at the College Basketball Crown tournament either.

Outside of SDSU making that run to the championship game, the MWC has historically performed pretty poorly in the tournament. I’m not surprised at all the selection committee chose to leave out the MWC bubble teams.

I would have to think the MWC being a one bid league is going to be a common theme moving forward with the new make up of the league.

I was very surprised to hear that anyone at Wyoming was talking about the NIT. We finished 9th in a very mediocre MWC and lost in the first round of the conference tournament.

Is the NIT still considered the second best post season tournament? Because if they are, I can’t imagine Wyoming has even a 0.1% chance of making it.

Well, we just got into the NIT, traveling to Wichita State on the 17th. The NIT is the only other postseason tournament outside the Crown and nobody takes that seriously, teams only go due to contractual obligations
