was it a down year for Wingard??? and does anybody think he tests the NFL waters as well??

A down year!? Led team in tackles (tie with Wilson), 4 picks, 2 defensive player of week awards, 1st team All-MWC. WTF you want this kid to do? He was the CO Gatorade POY in HS as a RB. Want him to do that too? Maybe we can move Woods to safety. SMH

what I'm getting at is not even on the all conference list, that's all, I know he's good I watch them week in and week out

He made First team All-MWC.

my only gripe is we doesn't wrap up consistently. If Dewy had all the tackles he missed from not wrapping up on his resume (at least 1 per game) maybe that would have gotten him over the hump on DPOY? who knows. He's turned into a really, really good player regardless.

He takes risks no doubt to make the jarring hit. However, his risk taking also resulted in additional turnovers and a few additional incompletions. If he 'wrapped up' every time, those turnovers and incompletions just become tackles.
