Air Force

Guess we can throw stats out the windows anymore, and i guess that's why we play the games!!! I guess it takes us 4 games before we're ready to play MWC football.....good start and held off a tough AF team, thank goodness for the bye, sure hope we don't go to LV and forget everything football related and the rest of the season of which I see 2 more wins to go 6-6 as usual.....the band-aid wins i keep saying this one was more of a wound wrap!!! Good win regardless Sawful coaching his way in for 27

Probably the best coached game since Sawvel and staff have been here. Team came in prepared and didn’t give up the explosive play to AF (made then run a lot of plays).

We were helped by Air Force playing their 3rd stringer at QB and their receiver dropping a sure TD, but I think we win anyways.

I will admit I was wrong. Props to Taylor for figuring out how to use Hughes with the roster we have and getting the O line to work for it. Still don’t think Sawvel is the guy…..

Coffee taste great this morning. This team has major warts, but they are also doing the little things right as each week passes. There’s 12 games in a season for a reason. After starting 1-2 99% of us thought the season was over. Fast forward and we have won 4/5 and control our own destiny with 4 games remaining. Had you asked any of us going into November if we would be 5-3 and sitting second in the conference, most would have taken that. I still doubt if sawvel is the guy, but the fact that under his leadership this team has responded like this gives me a tad bit of hope. Not every program can have an Indiana or new Mexico type of turn around immediately. We very well may end up going 6-6 but we also may go 8-4/9-3 and playing for a conference championship. All we can do is root like hell for this team and see what happens. By the way, we need to pull for New Mexico tonight to win to give NDSU their 2nd conference loss. Go pokes, baby!
