Air Force Gameday

2025 ends on a good feel. We didn’t play well for much of the game but good enough to get a solid road win. Our young guys got a taste of closing the game out when they could have given up in frustration.

We still have a reasonable chance to go .500 in conference which is a huge accomplishment.

Would like to know what the deal is with Dennis, did not see the floor. Walker sat the last 10 minutes as well. Rotations looked a little off today. However, a win is a win.
I never have any idea who will play a lot any given game. That’s part of our trouble, imo. No consistency with the lineups

We cannot afford to shoot poorly from 3 with the make up of this team and zero post scoring ability. When Air Force decided to take it to the rim, we were exposed. I would expect teams with more talent to make that a point of emphasis against us going forward. Saadi did a good job on defense against their big guy in an important stretch of the game, minus that one switch.

I did not watch the game but am glad they won. From what I read here, it seems they didn’t play well but did enough to get the W. I think we all knew they were going to struggle in the post. Teams are smart to slow the tempo and guard the perimeter against them.

I was at the game. 2nd row, near mid-court but slightly towards the Wyoming bench. Was able to hear most of the conversations between Sundance and the players as they rotated out. With those seats, I was able to see up close how hard these kids are playing. And the free throw shooting was amazing. Wyoming pressed the whole game and while that didn't cause a lot of turnovers, it changed the tempo of Air Force's game, which tends to lull you to sleep before you take it in the back door. I think we go at least .500 in conference play. Will need to keep improving every game to do better than that. Go Pokes! Catch me on Altitude, was wearing my Josh Allen 17 white retirement cap and a 17 brown jersey, second seat from the aisle. Kinda fun to feel like a part of the game almost!

Seems like there were almost as many pokes fans there as falcon fans

Saturday will bring a much different challenge to this team. The Academy is always a tough place to play, I don’t care how good or bad they are in a given year. We’ve lost down there with better teams in the past, so I’ll take the victory! For as bad as we looked at times, it could have been worse. As they get used to playing much better competition week in and week out, they will learn. We could be csu. They’re staring at 0-4 or 5 to start conference play with their schedule 😂.

Simply isn't true. Air Force has been putrid for several years now. Last year, they were 1-19 in the conference and 2-16 the year before that. For at least 15 years, they have been near or at the very bottom of the conference. Most years, you can count their conference wins on 3 fingers. It never takes more than 1 hand.
