AFA @ Wyoming

We absolutely got beat up in this game - from start to finish. I have not seen the stats, but I'm guessing Wyoming had twice as many fouls called on us as AF did. McKinney was right, the officiating was crap.
As a basketball official myself, the worst thing you can be is inconsistent. That's EXACTLY what this crew was. Hand checks are fouls on Wyoming, but Air Force can tackle our guards and it's no problem? That's bullshit. That crew should be ashamed of itself. I hope the league watches the tape and gives all three of them their walking papers.

Just passing by....but as an 'official' did you say the same thing in earlier games at the AA? I mean............... In Colorado's loss in Laramie the Cowboys had a 33 to 15 FT advantage. In their win over SDSU they had a 27 to 11 FT advantage. Even in their loss to Boise in Laramie they had a 18 to 6 FT advantage. Just does not seem right does it? But AF gets called for 15 fouls and Wyoming gets called for 18 fouls and you are complaining? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Home cooking almost 'always' smells good in your kitchen.

I'm just saying............

Hilarious, yet COMPLETELY retarded post! You should have not "passed by".

Why, for the love of god, should foul counts be EVEN in a basketball game? If one team hammers the shit out of another, more often, they will be CALLED MORE.

Any fan that looks at foul counts for comparison of how the game is / was played, is a idiot.

Whatever Dude....read between the lines. Poster above complaining about the fouls 'not called' on AF but called on Wyoming and the play of the game. Even a homer who knows anything about bball knows that the refs can make/break a game and Wyoming has had more than their share of hand checks/bumps/fouls NOT CALLED on the Cowboys game in and game out. Then you play a game against a team that runs and cuts and you get called for hand checking/etc fouls by a ref doing his job and you complain. I've watched all the games (that I could) that you played as well as the AF-Wyoming game. You got nothing to complain about.

And your reply to my post kind of sums up 'your' lack of knowledge in both reading and responding to my post and basketball.

I wasn't able to watch the Colorado game, but was at the San Diego State game and had no complaints. Officials are always going to get some calls wrong, which is why their consistency in making said calls is the most important thing to look at. Disparity on number of fouls doesn't mean that the officiating is inconsistent. Sometimes it means that the other team is simply fouling more.

Another gem of a post. I guess I needed to read 3 pages of shit, to respond to your nonsense?

Point is, you compared total team foul counts...like this was 4th grade girls hoops. Dumb point, idiotic post.

Oh, and you don't see "ME" complaining about the refs when UW loses. It is what it is IMO. Well, other than saying at times, win OR lose, that the MWC refs are inconsistently shitty this year (as is the case most years).

Now go get your shinebox.

McPeachy...AGREE WITH YOU 100% that the MWC refs are totally ill prepared overall and inconsistent in all games. All refs make errors but, as a whole, this group is very bad and reflects bad on the league and has outcome effects on all games.

But bottom line....all the teams must play and score to win...no matter what the refs do.

Good luck until next we meet. Time for you to take down the Rams.

GO FALCONS

Very true. And I think UW is too tired to make a decent game of it in FOCO unfortunately. We have no bench...and it is taking it's toll now in MWC play.

I don't judge officials on the number of fouls they call on either team or whether one team has more fouls called on them than the other. It was the type of fouls that were called and not called. I was probably playing basketball long before you were born, and I know when one team gets ticky-tak and hand check fouls called on them and the other team is getting away with absolute mugging, hacking, and tackling. When the Associate Athletic Director calls the officiating crap, that has some significance. Air Force has been getting the benefit of some officiating for quite a while now and not only in basketball. BTW, tell Howdy Doody hi for us.
