It really is amazing looking as the difference between the Texas D vs BSU D vs AFA D

Texas D and Boise D may both be in the top 5 in the country. Add in a funeral and that was a tough tough two week stretch for the boys.

The coaches clearly made some adjustments with the run game as well. The splits went from being really wide to pretty damn narrow this game. While the more narrow splits doesn't spread the defense out as much, it makes it so the RB doesn't have to cover as much ground east and west...this leads to the O-line not having to hold their blocks as long. They are also putting Studnicka out there as FB on most plays. GREAT adjustments by the coaches.

Didn't DC say last year that he had to close the splits as well due to the personnel on the line? I remember he said we did not have the personnel to run a full blown spread yet. I wonder if he fell back to that again.
