AFA Game

The only consistent feature of this Wyoming team is how they begin each game. It's like they just woke up from a nap and didn't realize they had a football game to play. Maybe Sawvel's pregame pep talk puts them in a coma.

His bio says he has written about Air Force sports for other blogs prior to joining the MWC connection site.

That makes it even more wild that he doesn't know the Bronze Boot has absolutely nothing to do with Air Force. I don't think the best "journalists" have ever gone into sports, but this is just embarrassing.

100% get it. Sean is great but he dorked up the trophy. I sent him a message Hopefully you did read it though it's a good read.

I read it. It's average writing at best. The Bronze Boot reference isn't the only mistake in the article - he calls our senior RB " Sam Harris" instead of his actual name of Sam Scott.

I don't know if websites like this use editors or not, but if they don't, they need to start. Journalism, and writing in general, have really deteriorated over the past decade. It's gotten to the point that it is almost unreadable. Half the articles (or more) are written by AI and nobody seems to employ an editor to double check for mistakes anymore.

There is nothing in that article that you can't learn from looking at stats for 5 minutes on the ESPN website.

I actually checked to see if this was an AI written article because it was so bad. It wasn't, which makes it even worse.
 
I have a bad feeling that Sawful will hand Calhoun a gift wrapped best AFA game of 2025 due to an inept start and an inability to match scores as the game progresses.

21-0 AFA in qtr 1
45-17 AFA when the 4th qtr clock says 00:00

If wrong and Wyoming wins it will be a nice evening.

This is how I see things going too.

We’ll come out hell bent on stopping their newly found passing game, and they will hit a couple long TD runs off the triple option.

Our offense will move the ball consistently into Air Force territory before poor execution catches up and they turn the ball over via interception, fumble, or downs.

The game will be out of hand by halftime. Sawvel and company will make some decent adjustments that allow us to win the second half and Sawvel will bring that up as a positive in the post game press conference.

Hope I’m wrong on all of the above.
