That rumor got squashed too. Who knows where he's at?....I can't see him ending up at any FBS/FCS school. Too late already....
 
I wonder if it's a case where no team was offering a scholarship and he's to proud to walk-on somewhere. It would be funny if he ended up at some NAIA school.

He quit on the team though. He had 2 more years. Novacek graduated and went pro. He didn't quit on the team. That's a huge difference.

Sweet Lord Above. You just compared an NFL pro bowler & super bowl winner who graduated from UW and is in the HOF, to a kid that quit on his team after his sophomore year.

He didn't quit on the team. He left the team. For whatever reason. And he has never uttered one word negative word about Wyoming or the coaches here. Not once. ACS has 1 Bowl win (all on him) and two bronze boots to his name included the biggest shellacking in the history of the border war.

He was a cowboy, so maybe you should stick your head up your own ass. He did good while he was here.

Guess you missed the part where he insulted the program near the end of the season. And yes, he did quit. That's what happens when you're basically a garunteed starter for another year at the QB position, new players and weapons to use in the offense, and then you up and leave right after the season ends. That is quitting.

I'll give him part of the first one (also had a couple of BIG defensive stops, one of them thanks to Fletcher's blocked PAT). The second one was almost ALL Alvester Alexander and the defense.

"1 bowl win (all on him)". I am pretty sure I was watching the same bowl game, and I didn't see #5 on the D-line making a huge goal line stand. This game is never all about one player. He wanted it to be all about him and when it wasn't he took his ball and went home.

My loyalty lies with the program not the player. Get him off of the banner so when I open this website I see those who are worthy of the honor.

Agreed!

Do I appreciate the way he played for two years? Yes.
Did I appreciate the way he talked down the team near the end of last year? NO!
Did I appreciate how he lies to his coach directly after the season when asked if he will return and leaves one week later for no apparent reason? NO!
That show's selfishness, lack of respect, non responsible. Nothing I want leading the team I cheer for.
Did I appreciate Shamiel Gary? Yes.k
Did I appreciate when he decided to transfer to be closer to home? Yes. I wish him the best of luck.
Did I appreciate Emory Miller? Yes.
Did I think he had a shot at playing time this year? Yes.
Do I respect him for wanting to be closer to home because of illness in the family? Totally. I hope he becomes the starting QB at SHSU and has a great career there.
There is a difference. You can appreciate what he did while here. But you don't have to care anymore. And I wouldn't compare ACS to any of the Wyo greats. He wasn't that good. Heck, he never even passed for 2,000 yards in a season! Here's some you can compare him to Stutzriem. Starts getting playing time at the end of the year, and then bolts! And he wasn't that great either, but at least he helped us beat Tenn. ACS hepled us beat nobody good.
