What happens when the Chargers move, and SDSU is sitting in a dilapidated stadium that is structurally deficient?

I have a cousin in SD and we talk regularly about the Chargers leaving. He is understandably aggravated by this whole talk. This is an interesting development and one that we have never considered. It is a fair assessment that this scenario could very well devastate the Asstecs. A great case where the over reliance on football could cripple the entire university. If football dies, the other programs very well may wither and die on the vine too.

I remember sitting in that stadium (2009, I think, but I'm too lazy to check) watching the Cowboys mount an absolutely incredible 4th quarter comeback...one of those where, at the end of the 3d quarter, everyone in the place knew the Pokes were going to lose. Except our players and coaches, apparently.

Anyway, I also remember how bizarre it was sitting in that giant stadium that was about 25% full. SD has some good fans, of course more diehard for basketball than football, but that giant cavernous, empty space just seemed to suck the life out of the whole cheering experience. Very strange.
