My Pick...hands down, MLB Oliver Schober. Y'all ought to see this guy! Ouch!
 
I agree with Schober. Have you seen his workout video? The guy has an NFL body already with the speed to go with it. If not Oliver, then I'll go with Kankolongo.
 
That guy is going to really help the LB core, just by looking at that video.

Not to mention he's a freakin' frog the way he jumps!
 
I agree its probably either going to be Schober or Kankolongo, but I think Kankolongo might have a better chance just because of the depth at linebacker. I mean he came out spring ball #2 on the depth chart, and was injured for most or all of it. Plus Stewart and Terry left the program, so I think has a possible edge because I think he'll probably get more playing time. Then again, Schober could show up and start knocking people on their ass like in his highlight video, and blow past some people on the chart. Also, based on his size, I think they could possibly move Schober around too, playing both LB and DE. Either way, I'm thinking it's going to be a lot of fun to watch.
 
My pick is Kankolongo. That kid will be a damn good running back if he learns to stay low. As far as Schober is concerned, its hard to tell how he will do when the competition level takes a big step up. Workout warriors don't always translate into warriors on the field. Lets hope he does.

Another guy to keep an eye on that there hasn't been many people talking about...Austin Daniels. Granted, he is a JUCO guy, but he very well may be the best of all the JUCO guys we signed in this last class. I'd bet he pushed the Gipson bro's for a starting spot by the end of the year and will almost certainly see time in nickel and dime packages.
 
Now this is the kind of talk I like seeing! No more of this stupid speculation on what's happening with all the conferences.
 
I'll say Kankolongo.. if anything, I just want to see Dave Walsh try to stumble through that name a dozen times a game! :)
 
He is frontrunner for newcomer of the year, but he is a junior. NCAA took away his FR, SOPH years due to his playing time in Germany,

He's a junior sports wise, but I don't know about education wise.

Even so, if he were regarded as a Freshmen, he would be the frontrunner right now.

Kongo does get a few handoffs each game, and does alright, maybe slightly better than AA, but that is when the O-line is holding.
