A few thoughts from the press conference...

CJ Morgan also looks pretty good at the WR position. I liked what I saw there. I think DB's and OL are so tough to tell from tape. I like the looks of the big boy, BJ Sumter. I like the fact, that for a big man, he keeps after the play quite a bit. Many of those clips show him making the tackle down the field or later in the play.

Kankolongo has a chance to be very good, but he needs to learn to keep his pad level lower. I trust this will be something the coaching staff instills in him from the moment spring drills start. He is rather tall for a running back, which makes him prone to big hits unless he gets that center of gravity lower. I'm sure he was used to running over guys in high school, but he will be going against a lot bigger, stronger guys than he has ever seen before.

BJ Sumter is a very similar case. His first movement when the ball is snapped is to stand straight up. In JUCO ball, he was able to out muscle the O-lineman to get off the block and make some plays. That won't fly in the Mtn West. An interior defensive lineman standing up makes an O-linemans mouth water. That is a pancake waiting to happen. Stay low, get to your gap, and start reaching for legs/shoelaces/arms/jersey of anybody who looks like they have the ball. That's the job of an interior D-lineman in a 4-3.

Hey, I have a question, on the lists I am reading I have not seen Watts' name, I assume he got a scholarship as soon as the season was finished for his outstanding performance this year but I just want to make sure, anybody know?? Also, I am hoping Bolger received one as well, that guy will be good this next year, as he was a very clutch receiver this year. Thanks!

I know that Watts indeed was given a ride. Wasn't told & didn't hear a thing about Bolger.
