A big announcement coming.

Personally, if it were anything of "real" substance, it would have leaked out somewhere. Substance like expansion, becoming AQ, etc.

My dime? A new MWC logo that embrasses all the member institutions, or maybe that the .mtn is now available in Canada. Whoopdie friggin doo.
 
Maybe it's the MWC getting AQ status. I remember reading somewhere else that made it sound like the MWC was getting AQ status.

And that's interesting if it does happen because the 3 teams that have done the best to earn it for the conference (TCU, BYU and Utah) are leaving.
 
I seriously doubt it is getting AQ status, like someone said before, if it was something "big" coming there would speculation running wild. A new freagin logo? Who really cares... :lame:

If they are adding eyeballs in Canadaville and/or the east coast, maybe they will be increasing the money they give out to each institution. That would be a little bit of news.
 
I would vote it's going to be a new logo....however that's pretty lame to call that a "big announcement" or whatever they called it on the video. I would love it to be AQ status but I don't see that happening.

This better be one badass logo otherwise I'll be disappointed if our future contains a logo that is no longer progressing.

Not quite true, BSU counts in the formula and they've obviously done way more than BYU and at least as much as the other two. Hawai'i doesn't count in the formula but they will in any future evaluations and they've also done more than BYU.

Mixed reactions on the MWC board. Some like it, some hate it, and it's growing on some.

For me, it's all right, but the old logo was MUCH better and MUCH more distinct. The mountains in the background made it that much better than the other conference logos from around the country.
