So we start a few days early with BYU @ BSU I've grown to hate both of these teams with the same passion it might be the fact that when I read the conversation thread between the 2 schools for the game they sound like best friends.

That being said I can't even decide who to root for as it seems the best team to root for would be the cheerleaders. How do you guys feel about it?

I have one team I follow as much as the cowboys and that is BYU. I don't like them... I DESPISE them and so I tune in frequently hoping they lose  so realistically I don't want either team to win but I suppose someone has to lose so I'll go for Boise in this game

Maybe we will get a tie! Not going to lie at this point in the year I'm fine seeing Fresno State in 1st place and not Boise.

That didn't look like a pick, on replay I would say he never had possession of the ball. He moved it from up high to down low but the ball was bouncing in his arms never really controlled.

BSU Defense: Ridiculously dominant.
BSU Offense: Play calling is horrific. Might want to give another QB an audition.

Not too sure about BSU's defense- they looked pretty good against a pretty anemic offense, right up until they almost gave up a game-losing, length-of-field drive to a freshman QB. Bronco Medenhall and offensive penalties gave the Bronco defense a lot of help. Reminded me a lot of Michigan State doing its best to lose the game.

Both teams have good defenses (anytime you let a RB carry for over 240 yards automatically takes you out of elite status), but both teams have HORRIBLE offenses. I knew BSU would miss Moore, but holy crap. And I actually felt bad for BYU's starter QB, for 3 picks and one being a pick 6. Got shown up by a true freshmen who is more mobile and can make better throws.

One of the bad decisions was BYU letting QB 1 start the 2nd half. I found that kinda shocking. I would have made a QB change at half time. One could tell very easily that was a need.

What surprised me was Peterson choosing to go for it on 4th down in easy field goal range (twice that I saw) when it was such a low scoring game and his offense struggling to get anything. I thought he was a better coach than that.

Or maybe he's a coach that's been burned badly by his kicking game over the past couple seasons.

Here is the issue, The offensive coordinator for BSU is in his first season. Bryan Harsin left BSU to join Texas and their new offensive coordinator just plays no to lose ( sounds and looks familiar doesn't it? ) not to win or dominate. He is very very timid with calling plays, Haven't you noticed this season that Boise isn't putting up big numbers? It's not just because of who left it's a lot to do with that offensive coordinator.

2006-2010 the dominate years were all under Bryan Harsin which is why he is at Texas now he was that good. It's very frustrating and disappointing that our hyped up defense couldn't tackle a wet paper bag blowing down the field. Last years team would easily beat Boise they don't deserve that 24th ranking and will probably get crushed by Nevada and Fresno State.

I'll disagree a little bit with this. Boise State lost an outrageous number of starters from last season something like 80% turnover including a new quarterback for the first time in four seasons. Any team and I mean any team, that doesn't struggle after that is something special and rare. I think Boise State isn't putting up huge numbers because they are rebuilding. The coaching change may be part of this as well but i'm looking at personnel turnover more then coaching changes for their struggles. I agree though that Boise could lose several games in MWC play including Fresno, Nevada and I don't think Air Force would shock me and I'll throw it out there that with a healthy team we could compete and beat them in Wyoming. They are very beatable, weak kicking game, and offense wasn't impressive.

It will be tough for them to lose to Air Force considering they don't play them this year.

DOH! That will teach me to forget that we don't play everyone in the conference  I just assumed being in the same conference that they would play each other. I feel sheepish
