8.30.09 Show... EPIC?

speaking of billy cockhill, bob cole came into my mind...and i just found out he is from my area of the Lehigh Valley, hes from whitehall... hes now more of a shame to me than matt millen! ugh!
 
Awesome lineup, chance for epicness is definitely strong. No way I'm missing the show Sunday! Speaking of missed shows, any word on podcasts? Even telling us that there are no plans in the near future is better than ignoring the question...

I'm not sure if you answered this before - but any chance the time will change during the football season? It's tough to compete with the NFL on Sunday.

alright, well Millen was/is an epic fail.. and cole will never have the chance to reach that.

but over on my pa high school forum board at pennlive.com, i mentioned something bout cole because they were talking bout the late 70's Whitehall football team which Cole quarterbacked, and out of no where i got jumped by one fella asking about what have i accomplished ha... people on that board are way worse than WACoffs
 
Coach is on the show. Excited to be on the show, happy to get the season underway. Excited for the QBs, but will reveal the starter tomorrow at his press conference. Says the top 3 QBs have had good camps.
 
Dave says it's been a challenge at Wyoming so far. 8 freshman will see the field this year. Shamiel Gary will be starting at FS. Chris McNeil will play. He expects to win now. Emphasizes that they need to work on getting better every day. Knows the schedule is a challenge, but they're going to take it one day at a time.
 
Dave believes the MWC should be in the BCS. Team will be wearing brown w/ gold pants for the first game. Said that logo and brand definitely affects recruiting, said he got a lot of questions about what the teams wears during recruiting. Believes the MWC will soon have an auto-bid to one of the big bowl games. Said there's good coaching and players in the MWC.
 
Burman happy to be back in Laramie. Ready to build up Wyoming athletics to where it should be. Said Dave has come through on many of the things that he mentioned in the interview. Says if the RAC (and other facilities) weren't built, the likelihood that Wyoming would still be in the MWC would be slim. Projects coming up after the War is completed. Said the schedule is tough, and would prefer to not have Texas/CU back to back, but they'll take it and learn from it.
 
Says the basketball team is coming around, the men's team needs some work, and needed a lot of work after McClain, but Schroyer is doing better. Said that taking players with baggage is unacceptable. Said McClain felt like he had to win, so he took some questionable guys into the program. Doesn't want to do a "ring of fame" because it would take away from the UW Hall of Fame. Pushing to get Kenny Sailors into the college basketball HOF. Rathbun wants the yellow on yellow retired, DC wants it retired, Burman loves it.
