44 points

Well my bubble has burst. We have a decent team, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too high or take seriously a team that loses to an also-ran like Utah State. It's basically Larry and four guys who can't shoot on offense. You see 44 points out of high school girls teams, not D1 men's teams.

My take is that Larry isn't mixing it up on offense enough for each opponent. USU knew exactly what the Pokes were going to try on offense. Of course, if you can't put it in at least some of the time, nothing works.

agreed our team is not a one man show, Riley stepped it up and Larry was ok, but McManamen, Hank and Cooke, and esp Josh need to get their heads in the game. I understand everyone has off nights as Josh did, but Jason, Charles and Derek have up and disappeared again. I like what I'm seeing with Gorski off the bench and yes playing in Logan isn't easy for us/ever, but we really need to regroup and start over again. Maybe a Tuesday game after such an emotional win on Saturday but although we're in the tough part of our season, we really have to regroup and play as a team!!
36% isn't going to win many games ever, here we go it's starts up again vs Nevada, the sky's not falling (yet) but a few stars did fall outta it last night.
Let's have another stellar crowd and help us get it done vs the Wolf Pack and esp the Sheep next Wed(their loss to Boise helps)

No way we sniff 8000 fans Saturday after the way they played last night.

Which is a shame. We shouldn't have to have a commanding lead in the mwc and be ranked for fan support.

oh yeah by the way it does still suck being a CSU Rams, with Boise beating them last night...lol, I'd still say around 8k tho

This is what happens when you rely on 3 people to carry the load of the points and one has an off night, Should get use to it because if Nance or Adams is having a bad night we tend to lose. We don't have enough scorers but Groski did a hell of a job last night.

Cooke has been MIA for the last month and Grabau had his best night last night since last year. Had Cooke or Adams shown up it was an easy win but Adams had a bad night and Cooke has had a bad month.

I think Gorski needs to play about 20 min a game. While Hankerson is playing great d and rebounding well he hasn't scored in two games

I have to agree...Gorski was the ONLY player I wasn't frustrated with last night. Grabau did alright by the end, but he started off badly too.

I only was able watch the last half of the game, but I too was surprised with his play. He seems to have some nice moves - like he knows what's going on, like he knows the game. Maybe Saturday, if Hank or some others aren't performing, someone can start a chant: GORSKI, GORSKI, GORSKI.

We have simply not found enough minutes for Gorski and Lieberman since conference season started. Too many 1 minute or two minute games, and the quick hook after one mistake. You've got to let them get their feet wet! I think last night was the first substantial minutes Gorski has had all year, and that was due to Josh stinking up the joint. It's OK to sub when a player is doing good, too, just to get him a breather.

Nance is a whole other story. Playing 40 minutes a night is going to wear down Superman.

I hope having Nance, Grabau, and Adams all averaging nearly 40 minutes per game is not going to hurt us in February and March. Last night it looked like it already has.

As of today, Gorski has a total of 90 minutes played on the season, he had 18 last night. So before last night he was only averaging 3.6 minutes a game.

Aka Gorski should be first off the bench and should be quick off the bench. That kid is going to be special soon. He has a sweet stroke and has a knack for the game.

Most importantly he is a three point threat. I wish Shyatt would turn Herndon loose on shooting as well Herndon can hit teh three pointer but he hasn't been given the go ahead by the coach to do it often enough IMO.

Couldn't agree more. I understand these youngsters are not as equipped as our seniors but frick. They can't be worse. Take the reins off. Let the best players rise to the top and succeed. Quit limiting.

Are you forgetting Gorski sat out the first third of the season due to a broken finger?

No, I'm not, but even with that, he still isn't getting a ton of playing time. It was a little bit of statistical manipulation...

I'll fix it...he missed 4 games due to injury. That would bring his minutes per game (before last night) to 4.5.

Yeah I like Gorski a lot. He has a decent sized body also and has rebounded pretty well in other games he has been in for the few minutes he has been in there. He can really shoot it. He is going to be a great player I think. I think Shyatt will be playing him a lot more.

Gorski will be starting next year for sure.

Even after those 4 games he still had the splint on his finger until right before Christmas - which limited his effectiveness considerably.
