Another new commit showed up this afternoon:

Jordan Stanton LB Los Angeles, CA Pierce C.C. 6'2" 240 12/9/12

That is good size for a LB size that we need I hope his speed matches it.

+1, agreed. I think rivals lists him at 250, which is linebacker size we haven't seen since we moved Knapton to DE. I also look forward to seeing how big Siaosi gets before next yr... during the UNLV game they said he has actually put on weight during the season which is unheard of.... a year of weights and he could really swell up. Plus getting Devyn Harris back will be huge, I hope he gets a medical redshirt and an extra year. I didnt see him play at all after texas game, watching him go across the field on crutches made me worry, but I think Siaosi did pretty good for being so young.

Yeah, Siaosi was right there if a run came up the middle. Heard his name more than once during most games.

The real question is though, is how do the new d-linemen do and how do you replace Ghaali Muhammed and Korey Jones? Especially Muhammed, as he was about the only thing that stopped runs when they got past Purcell.

Ghalli was good at attacking RBs before they got a head of steam instead of letting them build momentum and plow forward after contact. Instincts, aggression, speed, coaching, whatever it was he was a smaller linebacker that still stuffed the run at the line. Hopefully, next years LB corp does the same.
