Additionally, every year some guys just disappear off the roster as well. Like a quiet retirement.

I don’t think any of these guys will leave they seem to be a tight group.
The only guys who started who are graduating are David at 141 Gabe at 149 Jerod at 157 and Cole and Antonio fill two of those. Should be a good team again

We say see Wyoming target a transfer or two they have a stout recruiting class coming in as well

There are teams throwing a lot of money at wrestlers (Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State, Iowa, etc..).

Neitenbach and Novak will have good offers for sure. Maybe Carroll too. Hope they do all stay.

I would be more concerned with Iowa State who lives on the portal and cannot/will not develop recruits whereas Oklahoma State is pretty set at 84 and 97.

I think one thing that helps is having Carroll on the team. He left OSU because of a coaching change and ended up at ISU and it did not go well. He hinted an interview where promises made were not promises kept. So he can help Joey and Eddie navigate that world. Carroll was/is still tight with the OSU guys and was training with them prior to Wyoming but they landed DesShaun Ross so wouldn't even make sense for Carroll to head back to Stillwater.

Iowa hasn't exactly been a great landing spot for transfers. Last I heard Volk left Wyoming, outside of a payday, was to get better training partners. Wyoming light room has needed help, now Luke Willochell would have helped Volk a ton with his style but is what it is.

Novak Eddie and Carroll have one of the best training rooms with each other. It would help if Wyoming brought in a young HWT recruit though Gunner can probably fill in some spots.

This all sounds great. But how many of us are staying at our current jobs (even if we love them) when an offer comes in to more than triple our current salaries?

I really hope we can keep them all. But I’ll understand in this awful current environment of ‘college’ athletics if we don’t.

Although I agree with the sentiments...

Early in my "first" career, I was being paid a base of $44,000 a year, working 5 days a week, 10 hours a day at the most. Along came a competitor company offering me $70,000 a year starting, with a bit better benefit package. Sounds pretty good right? Well that increase came with a 6 day work week, at a minimum of 12 hours a day. I stayed put.
