2026 PAC 12 (but really only 8) home and home?

Internet blowing up with rumors of NDSU receiving an invite to join MWC for football only starting this fall. That would be wild.

I still don’t see why the PAC wouldn’t want them and offer them.

Sacramento State would be a solid addition. It's a big school, lots of money and in an area that would be great for recruiting. I would choose them over North Dakota State any day.
Plus solidifies a base in the bay area for recruiting and TV. Would be great to have that market basically locked down with Sac State, SJSU, and UCD (who I imagine elevates their football program in due time)

I would be fine with Sac State as another addition. I believe the NDSU addition, is a huge win for the MWC in the world of realignment. They are almost as much of a "darling" as Donkie State was when they entered the MWC. Montana & Montana State...come on down!

You're probably right but my concern is we will never get from under the ugly rock called bohl

Let's hope that Npac isn't doing a flanking and sways NDSU to them. If I was the PAC I would be all over NDSU .
The MWC already issued a release welcoming NDSU to the conference: https://themw.com/news/2026/02/09/mountain-west-adds-north-dakota-state-as-a-football-only-member/

Because conference bylaws require a 5 year Grant-of-Rights as a condition to being in the conference for football, I'd say that is entirely off the table now for the PAC to poach NDSU (at least until the next media deal).

I would bet that Oregon State (mostly) and Washington State are staunchly against NDSU being in the PAC. They see it very much beneath the "PAC brand" to allow an FCS school into the conference.

The ego of Oregon State is going to be a major problem for the PAC's long-term survival.

Going to be a problem?
