2026 MBB Transfer Portal Tracker

This is really shaping up to be a good team. If we can keep Bennett and can find a point guard and another post, this would be exciting. Wish Dennis would have stayed.

The coaches keep talking about Summers, but has anybody watched him play and help next year?

They need a post who can be physical on the inside and grab rebounds and be a rim protector. Not necessarily needing to score a ton. I think Gores could end up being pretty elite with his athleticism and skill just needs to add some strength.

I can't find confirmation of Magassa, but I guess we'll find out about him, Bennett, and Harris tomorrow when the portal officially opens.

We've focused alot on who would be leaving, which is fair. But do we have any ideas on who Sunny is eyeballing to bring in? I think Mount St Mary's Luke McEldon might not be bad and within our range. 11.7/6.2/1.3 on 64.5% last year. He played his first 2 years at Santa Clara so he'd be open to coming out west and he's 6'10" so he would be able to fill the size lost with Simm. It's a long shot since the portal sometimes feels like a crap shoot but hey, worth a shot

As of this morning there are over 1,000 in the portal which is an average of almost 3 players per (D1) team.

There will be no shortage of available players.

That's a staggering number. Take out seniors and that's about 1/4 of D1 eligible players entering the portal. I wonder how many are looking for a payday and how many just want playing time. Because if I'm a D1 coach, I might want a high school kid instead of a marginal player who has already shown that he's willing to jump from school to school.

That would be nice, but we're not going to be able to afford a 6'10"+ banger.
I won’t say with certainty we won’t. There are well over 200 PF and C transfers. Probably 1/4 of them are no better than a high school player and I don’t want to see us pursuing just anyone. I trust Sunny to assemble the best team with the resources he has to work with.
