Love that the Cowboys are taking a shot at them. May not go great, but it's a dual with the best team in the country and that kind of rocks.

I think it’s awesome. Every match will feature a top 5 wrestler. What wrestler doesn’t want to face the best? Can only help in recruiting and program building efforts.

28-12 win, very impressive! The freshman Eddie Neitenbach appears to have a ton of potential.
That match was insane.

Good results for the Pokes. The only disappointment was willowchell losing to a true freshman.

Just something that caught my attention - at 197 lbs, Stephen Buchanan is on his 3rd team (Iowa, ranked #2) and AJ Ferrari is on his 3rd team (CSU Bakersfield, ranked #1).
A rematch I guess if Ferrari doesn’t do something crazy to get kicked off the team (probably a 50-50). I’ll root for Buchanan just because Ferrari is such a douche. But - this transfer system and consolidation of talent with Iowa, Penn State and Oklahoma State makes it hard to get too excited. We are very fortunate that Jory Volk has stayed committed to Wyoming and is now ranked #2 going into his third year.

We couldn't even keep Buchanan here with his girlfriend being from Baggs, Wyoming and wanting to have a career as a teacher in WYOMING.

I bet he has some crazy endorsement deals from like MMA or something and this was part of the marketing deal.
But IMO wrestling/MMA is where he belongs. Has wrestling abilities like the world has never seen and I hope we see him back in the Olympic picture.

He teched Hendrickson in the first period in the NCAAs several years ago. But Hendrickson has been wrestling internationally and putting the work in while Steveson has been learning how to act like he got hit in the head with a chair. It will he a little more interesting when those 2 face again I think.
