2017 Schedule is out

I don't understand why it's not possible for the conference to schedule the 3 cross-divisional games first and the division opponents after. Why create the possibility of a rematch in the conference championship of a game that happened just a week or 2 before?

4 straight home games. I knew it was happening, and it still looks crazy. Easiest schedule this program has had in a long time.

I wouldn't say it's the easiest schedule we've played in a long time. @Iowa, @BSU, Oregon are all games where Pokes would be significant dogs right now. I do like the schedule and thinknit sets up as well as you could hope for. I am putting out a prediction of 7-5. The schedule makes it tempting to predict higher win totals, but I don't think we're quite ready for the week in week out excellence required of 9-10 win teams. We haven't had back to back winning seasons in almost 20 years, which would be a significant success IMO.

Put me down for 9-3. Losses to Oregon, Boise State, and "surprise loss" (take your pick, happens every year). But they beat Iowa, who has a tradition of dropping early home games.

If we can defend the read option, maybe we can eliminate the surprise losses.

I can't wait until spring ball. Hopefully, Hazelton and Bohl have some answers for some defensive concerns.

I want revenge for our 1987 Holiday Bowl loss to the Hawkeyes.

I just noticed: 7 home games. Maybe we can spend some of that extra revenue on the assistants salary pool that is supposed to be announced soon.

Chad's blog on games to circle on the calendar.

October 21st through November 11th looks to be the toughest stretch of the schedule. @Boise, UNM, sheep, @AFA. I like the way this schedule is laid out for us as of right now.

Like a few others have said, it's going to be great to see 5 games in person this September.

Only two November home games, and one is the Border War. That, a big name in nonconference and momentum coming off last year should all be a nice boost for attendance this year.

The Beer and wine sales will help too huh, LOL

I'm thinking 8 or 9 wins
I'm setting myself up for a potential let down, but I'm expecting 9-3, yes with a win against a hapless Oregon Duck squad coming to Laramie this year, GO POKES
