Wyoming beats #13 ranked Boise State for the first time. The fans love it and rush the field. Boise, until this time, was undefeated. This is the first time in over a decade Wyoming has defeated a ranked team in a home game.

Stepping stone: Cowboys' win over No. 13 Boise State signals a big step forward for Cowboys (WyoSports.net)
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Josh Allen said he thought this team would be special going back to spring ball. He’s looking smarter by the day with those words.
Bohl said this win ranked right up there with any during his 14 years as a head coach, and that includes three national championships at North Dakota State prior to coming to UW.
“What you find is when you get in games like this is they are enjoyable, but what has to occur is thinking you’re a pretty good team,” Bohl said.

Upset nets Cowboys some national attention (WyoSports.net)
Senior nose tackle Chase Appleby forced the game-winning safety with 1 minute, 25 seconds to play after he knocked the ball loose from Boise State sophomore quarterback Brett Rypien and the ball went out of the back of the end zone. That highlight was all over national sports shows Saturday night. Appleby earned a “helmet sticker” from the analysts on ESPN’s College Football Final for his efforts.
UW redshirt freshman walk-on defensive end Josiah Hall’s dance after the safety was all over social media Saturday night and into Sunday. It has come to be known as the “safety dance.”

Utah State head coach Matt Wells joined DJ & PK on Monday morning to recap the Aggies’ 40-13 loss to San Diego State. He said the failure of his defense to get off the field was a critical issue in the loss and that his team needs to be able to move the ball in the rain or other elements. Coach Wells also took a look at the Wyoming Cowboys and said that it will be a battle to pick up a win after the Cowboys upset Boise State last week. He said his team’s focus now is getting to six wins and bowl eligibility.
