Damn, that kid is going to be about 19,000 years old before we get him. I guess Larry is taking a page out of BYU's playbook.

This kid has me intrigued though. He's got a lot of big offers and then suddenly he pops up on our list. It makes me feel like there's a chance we can get him when our offer pops up this late in the game.

Colorado PG Austin Conway commits to Wyoming hoops

Austin Conway is heading north.

Conway -- a 5-foot-10, 165-pound point guard -- verbally committed to play at Wyoming on Tuesday night.

"Long process but made my decision I'm blessed excited and thankful to call myself a cowboy #Wyo thank you to every one who helped me get here," Conway tweeted.

I saw on other recruiting sites that he had basketball offers from CU, Nebraska, and Rice as well.

Austin has major upside. He'll get much better. I watched him in the Colorado all-star game and he was very quick. Should be a headache for MWC foes down the road.

We've got some big names interested in us for 2015.

Hopefully Keith Stone, Justin James, Eric Turner, Hassan Thomas, and the rest of the 2015 recruits will be happy to know they'll have a great point guard in the class with them if they choose Wyoming(and a sweet looking basketball facility).

Very impressive verbal for Shyatt and staff. Conway's elite quickness gets most of the press, but his fundamental basketball skills are very good. He will need a year to adjust his game to playing against much larger, stronger competition, but he has the potential to be a very good point guard in the MWC.

The level of recruiting has really picked up these last two years and I expect we will begin to see the perks in the very near future.

Turner is a good looking prospect. He would certainly fill that "go to scorer" role that we've lacked the past few seasons. He can do it all offensively…in transition, pull-up jumper, to the hole off the dribble, 3 point shot.

Shyatt and staff have some highly sought after prospects in the class of 2015 that seem to be genuinely interested in the Pokes. It will certainly be interesting to see how everything shakes out.
