I know it is a bit early to be discussing this, after all, we are all on top of a mountain after winning the conference tournament this year - but what do our coaches and AD need to do to get our RPI up next year?
I've heard it is tough to get teams to Laramie, but hell, Fort Collins is only an hour away. Their RPI is pretty high this year.
Does Wyoming and CSU need to do a Tournament in Denver in December to get a bunch of teams in that we could play that have a higher RPI?
Do we need to go out on the road and travel so more and play teams with a tougher RPI?
We are in a good place right now. But our SOS almost killed us this year. If mono hadn't ran rampid among our team, we might be looking at a whole different situation right now.
I've got a million dumb ideas - see the above - get the front range down in Denver for a tournament. Bring in CSU, AF, and WYO. Try to get teams that wouldn't travel to any of those places (CSU, AF, WYO) to Denver.
Bring back the Wyo Shootout - its a big airport and easy to get too. It is a neutral court but still a hostile venue
What else can we do?
