Umm.. yikes. That MSU game is going to be a boat anchor again this year.

That schedule is almost as bad as last years.

There will be no NCAA bid unless we win the conference with a record of like 29-5 or win the MWC tournament. So probably looking at NIT or CBI again.

It's not as bad on paper as last year, but it's bad. Not a huge deal because not as much will be expected from us so maybe it's not so bad.

The solution is to play the Kentucky's, the Duke's, the Louisville's, etc. ALL IN ONE SEASON, ALL AWAY. Loose every one but come into the conference season and the conference teams seem like pussycats. Beat 'em all, win the conference, go to the dance. Easy. Nothing to it.

We could have gotten a bid with last years and we could with this years but it will require winning those same games we needed to last year that we failed to.

I agree with this but like you said we have to win a few more games . The conference might be better rpi wise next year as well which could help compared to what it was this year.

We'll have at least 10 under classmen next year. I didn't expect the schedule to be too challenging.

I agree with this also and wondered if Shyatt might not make it overly demanding but he did say he called all the BCS type schools.

We should probably just go play a couple of top 15 teams on the road even if we lose so it jacks up our SOS rating and makes it look better.

We need to only schedule Duke, Michigan State, Arizona, etc. We'll go 0-13, but look at that RPI baby! #WyomingLogic

No one is saying to schedule all of those teams. They could schedule 2 of them though and it would boost the SOS a lot which would help instead of scheduling Bristol and New Mexico HIghland's which do nothing at all for us.

At least play Grand Canyon in Arizona, so Cuttslam, wyo2dal, and I can see the Pokes in person! Lol

True story! But I'm going to Vegas again for the MWC Tournament that was so much fun!

What is the deal on the "Houston or Grand Canyon"? Hope it is Houston.

Really, if 1 Montana State game and the Bristol game were dropped and replaced with something like a Washington State or decent smaller school (ala another MVC or something), the schedule wouldn't be terrible. If we dropped those two and could add a couple of bigger programs, it would be good.

Hopefully, as the next group matures, our schedule will too.

As a fan, that is one of my biggest hopes for the next 4 years. We will never grow as a program if we can't attract marquee opponents

It's part of the Las Vegas Tournament. Winner vs. winner and loser vs. loser. If we beat Marshall, we'd probably play Houston.

Definitely time to start making that jump. I've been okay with soft schedule to get things on track. Tougher competition is the next logical progression.

Cal is going to be a marquee game each of the next two years (Laramie and then back in Berkeley). They just signed Jaylen Brown, a Top 5 player in the 2015 class to go with Ivan Rabb who is a Top 10 player. Combine those guys with Bird/Wallace/Mathews and they will be a preseason Top 15 type team. We need to pack the AA for that one.
