I find myself wondering the same. There is no other explanation for why they wouldn't offer Cade, he would instantly be tied with Johnson as the best recruit in this class.WYCowboy said:The Smiths in Oregon may have burned their bridges when Bohl flew up there especially to talk to them right after he took over here at UW. I have a feeling something didn't go well there at that meeting.

Bartlett said all five of the schools he has official visits plans for – Colorado, Oregon, Utah, Iowa and Washington – remain in the mix.

Well, they are being recruited to essentially the same system, so why not?tweaked said:Looks like we have offers out to at least 5 players with NDSU offers: OL Trenton Mooney, TE Ben Ellefson (who has verbaled to NDSU), RB Demaris Purifoy, LB Aaron Mercadel, and DB Kevin Jackson. Inevitable with this coaching staff. Most of these players do have other FBS offers as well.
Maybe. Maybe not.tweaked said:Yep. Agreed. Same system. So it makes sense. But different level. So we should win most of these head-to-head battles.

Maybe NDSU can offer a better scholarship package. Maybe NDSU has better program the recruit wants to major in. Maybe NDSU just feels right. Maybe NDSU can offer quicker playing time.
There are a number of reasons why a recruit picks a particular school. It's not all about the level the school is at.
