2013 Super 25 WY Prospects

Some decent sized prototypical kids in there.

Brock Teichert, 5-6, 160, sr, OL/DL/TE, Cokeville. I am pretty sure this kid doesn't have D1 size though.

OL and DL? Sure he's not in junior high or something? Sounds more like a RB or DB than anything close to a linemen.

I did a double take on him too. Who knows though he could be the meanest son of a bitch to ever put a helmet on

True, I've known some short people who when they get going, they take down guys twice their size.

Here is a list of seniors from the 2013 Wyoming high school football Super 25. With Bohl wanting to recruit and develop Wyoming talent, do any of these players have a chance of coming to UW? Have seen any of these players play? If so, do you think any of them could develop into a MW caliber player?

Sterling Baker, 5-11, 195, sr, RB/LB, Dubois

Logan Barker, 6-1, 185, sr, RB/LB, Douglas

Taven Bryan, 6-5, 250, sr, OT/DT, Natrona County

Hayden Cragoe, 6-2, 180, sr, QB/FS, Powell

Kirk Durtsche, 5-10, 175, sr, QB/DB, Kelly Walsh

Austin Fort, 6-4, 215, sr, QB/S/K, Gillette UW COMMIT

Sam Gertsch, 5-11, 190, sr, WR/TE/LB, Star Valley

Cameron Johnson, 6-0, 180, sr, WR/S/P, Cheyenne East

Garrett Lynch, 6-3, 230, sr, WR/FB/TE/DE, Powell

Austyn Matthews, 6-1, 165, sr, QB/S, Douglas

Connor McCafferty, 6-3, 180, sr, QB/DB, Big Horn

Tayton Montgomery, 5-11, 155, sr, WR/CB, Cheyenne Central

Dillon Pickett, 6-0, 200, sr, RB/MLB, Lovell

Travis Romsa, 6-4, 250, sr, OT/DE, Burns

Critter Ruwart, 5-10, 180, sr, QB/S, Wheatland

Daniel Sessions, 6-1, 195, sr, RB/S/LB/KR, Sheridan

Brock Teichert, 5-6, 160, sr, OL/DL/TE, Cokeville

Sam Turner, 6-3, 190, sr, QB/LB, Natrona County

Matthew VandeBossche, 5-10, 160, sr, RB/S/P/PR, Lusk

Billy Williams, 6-1, 175, sr, RB/LB, Gillette

I would look at anyone that has a 6'3" frame or taller. We look at size now, but the real size question is what they will be after a couple years with a training table and U.W.'s lifting program.

I would also compare this list with the state 100 meter and 110 High Hurdle finals.

For what it is worth, Romsa out of Burns also got some recognition as a basketball player I believe. If so, that should say something about both his footwork and his hands.

It's not all about height and size, There are some prime examples of short but well played slot receivers and backs that are smaller. If 6' 3" was the rule we never would have had Bouknight or Moore or tons of other talent that came out of Wyoming that were smaller.

Maybe they were talking about linemen?

My cousin at Pike Valley is about that size, though a little bigger. 5'9-5'10 230lbs farmboy. Though his headcoach makes him play o-line, last year he lead the team with 5 yards a carry, but only saw limited time there.

Then it should be top 25 Linemen and not top 25 prospects. I'm talking about recruiting Wyoming not Wyoming linemen.
