Here is a list of seniors from the 2013 Wyoming high school football Super 25. With Bohl wanting to recruit and develop Wyoming talent, do any of these players have a chance of coming to UW? Have seen any of these players play? If so, do you think any of them could develop into a MW caliber player?

Think Garrett Lynch from Powell could be a kid to keep a eye on fr FB/DE/TE? Maybe even Travis Romsa from Burns as a DT?

There's some guys in here who have nice size but would not be able to play those positions in college. Travis Romsa from Burns has ideal linebacker size.. maybe an OT (if he can put on some weight).. but how does he move? A lot of these guys depend on how much muscle you can put on their frames.

I watched Garrett Lynch when Powell came here to play Pinedale. The Guy can ball... there wasn't anything he couldn't do on the field. I realize how poor of a team Pinedale is but I could tell this guy had serious athletic ability and great hands. He would be worth a look.

I say we look at Ruwart out of Wheatland to play safety, mainly because having a player on the team named Critter would be awesome!

One thing that you need to keep in mind is that the super 25 is a very political list of kids......much like the shrine bowl some good kids get overlooked. Having said that it is a good starting point. On another note Garrett Lynch is a freaking beast. He has all of the lifting records At Powell High School.

This ^ ^ ^

Don't know much about him, but this Lynch kid intrigues me as a potential option to play FB in Bohl's new offense.

I think we all went to size and weight looked for the best checked position and all thought " does he have hands like bricks " pretty much the only thing that would keep you from going after a kid that size is he can't catch. People on the list I would consider at least looking at if I was coaching.

Sam Gertsch, 5-11, 190, sr, WR/TE/LB, Star Valley
Cameron Johnson, 6-0, 180, sr, WR/S/P, Cheyenne East
Garrett Lynch, 6-3, 230, sr, WR/FB/TE/DE, Powell
Travis Romsa, 6-4, 250, sr, OT/DE, Burns

Agreed. 230lbs is a little light for a FB, but that can easily be fixed.

Fort is a good sized QB, at 6'4 215lbs. Seems to have not played much though.

I like the idea of more WyoPreps on this squad as much as anyone, but does it do us a whole lot of good "scholarshipping" kids out of Wyoming High Schools that don't have other D1 scholarships... I think the idea is to revamp the Walk-On program and use the Hathaway to get local kids at WYO instead of area D2's that could be contributors down the line. We still have to recruit neighboring states, California, PAC NW, the Midwest and Arizona hard! The heart of our team can be local kids, but our skill dudes and beef will most likely need to come from the above mentioned states.

The Fort kid has great size and a super athlete, but not sure he's the QB of the future with his throwing motion/accuracy! Taven Bryan is locked in at Florida, and word is Muschamp flew to Casper to ensure he was still on board with the Gators. I haven't seen any of the small school kids play, but know that Tevis Bartlett could be the next great Wyoming Safety. Kid tackles like he's shooting a double leg(future 4x State Wrestling Champ/2xNational Champ) and moves pretty well! Wyo has already offered him and hopefully Bohl continues to pour recruiting resources into him. Other kids that will receive heavy D1 interest that have not been mentioned are Pete Bergman OL/DL(6'9" 305lb) and Logan Wilson WR/DB/K/P(6'2" 205lb) both from Natrona. The Bergman kid is a monster that moves great for his size and Wilson was 1st Team All-State at all four of his positions.

A 6'9 D-linemen? Holy crap! But his center of gravity would be pretty high. Though, John Fletcher was 6'7, but he was a DE and in the 270lbs range. Logan Wilson has good size for a reciever, but the thing about recievers, its not so much size as it is about hands. If he has good hands, and gets open, he should get some good looks.

Any word on these guys' stats?

I believe Bergman primarily plays offense and was a solid Right Tackle in the games I saw... I wouldn't put a whole lot of eggs into individual statistics. The Bryan kid wasn't even in the top 10 on his own team in defensive stats and could've played wherever he wanted... Colleges don't generally recruit kids for their stats, they recruit based on measurable, potential, and if they're a reliable student.

Not sure how good the source is, but I've heard Tevis Bartlett wants to play QB in college. Also, during the state championship game Cameron Johnson made some incredible catches - while being hit - going across the middle. Not sure how he is for speed tho. I'm thinking maybe a 4.7 type guy.

So, a posession guy? Always a place for one.

Who was the guy.. he played for the 1A champ, maybe smaller school, who had like 250+ total yards and 4+ TDs?

One of the Teicherts I believe, there is 3 of them I think playing this year. But one of the VanddeBoche's from Lusk (there's 2 of them) tore it up too, though they lost
