2012 Football Schedule Released

@Idaho......wow. Feel free to buy tickets at will.......guaranteed there will be room.

@Nevada will be the big one.....the result of that game should give us a good idea of how MWC play will go for UW. Good schedule though.....I see 9-3 as possible with losses to Texas, Nevada, and Boise.

I wonder if the AFA game will be the Homecoming game.

Great schedule.
I would bet that it is. Homecoming is always on the weekend nearest my birthday (10/16). I was born to be a Pokes fan!

Bah.. the Idaho game falls on a crappy weekend.. Montana has a home game that weekend and I'll likely be working that weekend.. bah!

Back to back home games with Boise st. and csewe. That could make or break us. On the plus side, a nov. 17 date at unlv. Like I needed another excuse to go to vegas!

Wow, we're back in the WAC. I agree 9-3 is possible, maybe 10-2.

2012 is the gut check year for Dave Christensen. After what happened with the letdown in 2010 after 2009, I'm sure most Wyoming fans are cautiously optimistic about this year. No more talk.....do it!

I actually like all of the games. Although Cal Poly is a big step down and is in Laramie, it is even a Land Grant school that is in the only part of California that I really like the looks of. I even applied for a job in SLO once.

I have faith that, in the long run, Idaho is a good school that would make a good, steady opponent for us, if not necessarily next year. The could even be (gasp!) a regional rival...?

They have a massive hill to climb to be a worthy opponent of Wyoming.....have you ever been to a game in Moscow? The Dome only seats 15K fans, yet there are still tons of seats available every game. Give Robb Akey credit for trying his best, but I know many Vandals who feel football is a lost cause. Whispers of dropping the sport altogether and becoming a "basketball school" have been prominent as of late.

Good academic school no doubt, but their location right next to Pullman has always spelled their doom athletically.

You're hearing the wrong conversations. Most conversations in Moscow center around coming back to the Big Sky, possibly along with Boise's Olympic sports.

It all depends on how the team comes together next year, especially with the senior leadership losses on the defensive side.

Still find it odd that the MWC is not putting rivalries as a priority. Wyoming-Colorado State is the conferences top rivalry, yet its in early November?

Nobody should complain about their schedule after looking at Hawaii's. Ruthlessly put together by the MWC.

I have friends on another board called Sports Hawaii who aint exactly thrilled with their schedule. Hawaii got ass raped by the MWC when the conference came out with the schedules.

Yeah, attendance at Aloha Stadium will drop like a rock.....aside from the Boise State Massacre.
