2011 Tucson SG Shakir Smith will officially visit Wyoming tomorrow. If he likes it he's gonna commit. He says 85pct chance he's headed there

Now Shyatt only has to fill another six scholarships this fall. The good news for him, when this first season is over, he won't have to recruit for a long time.
 
I like to pick up 3 or so guys a year so you don't get loaded with seniors and then underclassman IMO

I'll be surprised if we don't have some guys leave the program for various reasons along the way. IMO though, the more stable we are for awhile, the better we will be able to get this program back to the top level. I sure don't expect the attrition we had with the previous staff.
 
I don't see anyone leaving but the six seniors this fall. After that you'll be left with

Leonard Washington
Tyrone Marshall
Lekan Ajayi
Riley Grabau
Darrius Gilmore
Larry Nance Jr.
Shakir Smith.

If you listen to the interviews on the Zone right now, you'll realize the guys get along great. The team chemistry is very good right now.

Most importantly, Larry Shyatt is going to retire here. He's not leaving, until he's ready to hang them up. Unlike many coaches from our past, Laramie is not a stop along the way, but the final destination. He loves it here, he's excited as hell for the opportunity, and he and his staff are the reason why the above names aren't on some other teams board.

I would be surprised if one of those six guys transfer. How many guys transferred off of Fennis and Eric's team? How many guys transferred away from Josh Davis, Ugo Udezue, and Marcus Bailey's team?

I'm a sunshine pumper and I'll admit it. On this, you have every reason to see our transfer situation disappear entirely.
