1st one to 50 wins Wed

A thought that has been discussed to great lengths by myself and the group I go with, why not run two guards (Gillmore and Adams), a modified slasher/punisher forward (Leonard) and two power forwards (Larry and Cooke)? Can it really be any different or worse? WE cant shoot threes why not make it even harder on teams to control the paint?

Maybe it is time to put Adams on the bench again just so we have a bench.
I like that sort of line up

Unfortunetly with that lineup, we don't have any fresh bigs to come off the bench and give Nance, Washington, or Cooke a breather. They would be replaced by a Guard, if anything.

it's all frustrating, but we know it can be done!!! What I'd like to see is more penetration to the hole, even if you get blocked or not, there's 4 things that can happen when that's done, score, draw a foul, get blocked or miss, so it's 50% for 50% against. take chances, and try new things, the glamour of the 3 has hurt the game i.m.o. Larry Nance needs to really start finding his shot, posting up and getting tough down low. We usually win when we get to the foul line more often, also, if the 3 isn't working, get it to a 15-18 ft jumper, hey 2 points is better than 0 imo again. We all know we can beat a top 25 team and man oh man another upset tomorrow would be just what the doctor ordered. Give Derek Cooke more time down low as well. GO POKES

I couldn't agree more, I've felt for the longest time--since the inception of the three point shot--that it was a detriment to the game. Scoring, I think, has gone down since the three shot came into play. It seems that the three pointer is all kids want to practice shooting and it effects every other aspect of their development. The mid-range jumpshot has gone by the wayside only to be replaced by the long-range shot that IMH is a very low percentage shot. I realize there are some teams and players that can shoot it well but unfortunately for us Wyoming isn't one of those teams and the one player who could remotely shoot it well has been suspended. In my perfect world the three pointer would be eliminated, then shooting would improve.

jmo but I think the reason why kids want to do the 3-pointer is so they somehow get that one great shot that ends up on ESPN as a highlight. That's why I think some kids can't do normal tackling in football. They want to do the big time hits so they can get noticed on ESPN.

That is exactly it. Why tackle someone when it looks like a struggle when you got a 50/50 chance of knockin someone out or getting burned

Why take a step in and take a much more comfortable shot when you got a chance to score 3 points.

Anyone else notice how that kid plays in warmups? He looks like he can hardly walk. I'm sure it's not easy being 7 feet tall, but he doesn't look like an athlete at all.

I saw him at the Buckhorn one night and he looked like he struggled getting up and down those stairs lol.
I'm sure he woulda been part of the Luke Martinez/Cooke brawl but was too slow to get there in time...

Ill keep my attack light as HE IS on the team and we are not, however, he looks like the most unathletic, awkward basketball player I've ever seen... He doesn't look like he knows what foot goes where... Lets hope his playin time remains low...
