Finally we can now worry about this game and know we will are both undefeated heading into it!

6-0 ranked team coming into laramie to play a 7-0 team.
CU has not played a true road game. they struggled against tsu, I think they are in for a surprise saturday. Afterall we did beat them in boulder last season!

Also, what happened to grabau?

To the people that live in Wheatland, Cheyenne, Casper, ETC... get the damn word out! Get people down here! There is no reason that we shouldnt get 10k

unfortunately ...i'll still be in miami

i'll be the guy running all over south beach trying to find a tv with root sports on it

I am so freakin amped for this game!!!!

Can't wait for some deafening W-Y-O cheers roaring through the AA

I hope we get 10k there this saturday. Is the weather still supposed to be good throughout the state? I wanna make sure there are NO excuses for not coming!

Apparently Grabau is having knee problems and wasn't feeling it last night then asked coach to take him out.
I hope he was saving himself for Saturday.

i just hope that fans that do show come out and are vocal!!! this isn't a library, get into it and help our Pokes DON'T SIT ON YOUR HANDS, Lord knows the place has been a morgue the past few years....Bring it Fans...GO POKES

I am very excited for the game Saturday, and am hoping for at least 7 thousand minimum for this one. We need to get it loud as well if it is like we had it for the last five minutes of the last home game when it got pretty loud and the students got more into it. We need that kind of energy for the full game.

Agreed.
I think the the rest of the fans (everyone but the student section) are loud and vocal, but in the student section, it's like highschool, everyone is "too cool" to cheer.

Hell I was even talking to some kids asking if they were going to the game and they said no. I said we're playing a top25 team. They said oh definitely not we will get killed. I said we are undefeated...and beat that team last year in boulder....

And they still just don't care. Too many of our students just don't care about UW sports because of the reputations our teams have had throughout the last decade.

Whatever though, the student section will be excited and if we win, it will only build optimism. I know we are saying the same things over and over but I really trust that it will be awesome saturday.
I hope we get 8K at the game.

i just remember that unlv game last year and thinking i wish every game would rock like that

Back when Dembo and Leckner played we averaged about 14,000 a game. That's what I wish it would get back to again. They had over 5,000 show up for the first basketball practice that year and over 6,000 show up at the first NCAA tournament game.

That was an aberration though. It was over 13k, but it was only for one season. It was the year after the Sweet 16 appearance and Dees' first season with Dembo, Leckner, etc. coming back and there were legitimate (or so they seemed at the time) thoughts of making a very deep tournament run.

Other than that, our highest attended seasons were just over 10k. I think a reasonable target is 8k.

We have never drawn well for OOC cupcakes, particularly around the holidays, but if we could get back to averaging about 10k for conference games and 8k overall, I would be pleased.

I hope so too. I expect it will be somewhere between 7-8k. Anything less than 7k will be very dissapointing.

Hopefully we do get at least 7k or that will be dissapointing, but they just need to keep winning and the fans will eventually start coming back. The attendance is better at this point than it was last year, so hopefully it just keeps growing and we start averaging more and more. The main thing I want to see is more energy, there have been a decent amount of students compared to this time last year but no energy from them.

Keep winning. And more Energy.
That's what will make the AA the Dome of Doom. The one that any road team fears.
The Dome of Doom used to be what The Pit is now.

No one likes playing their unless you are New Mexico.

We are just a couple key victories away from seeing it happen I think.
How sweet would it be at the end of the season if all we had to do was beat CSU the very last game of the season, at home for a conference championship? Then we would for sure see it be the dome of doom

Yeah you're right. I don't think it is unreasonable though to expect us to average 10k for the conference season when we have a good team to go watch. Anything below that and it is very disappointing.
