Just got the first snow today as well. And it is getting cold out.McPeachy said:7220Fan said:I just saw on the lines that Wyoming is a 10 point underdog vs SDSU. Any thoughts?
Take the points, and pay off your mortgage. The Pokes have everything to play for Saturday. SDSU is beatable...Hillman is not 100%, the wind will be blowing like a bitch, I will be hammered, etc.
I'd prefer wyoming getting +14.7220Fan said:I just saw on the lines that Wyoming is a 10 point underdog vs SDSU. Any thoughts?

bladerunnr said:I like us getting 10. I bet it hard on bodog. I also took csewe giving 16 at home to nm. I have to think csewe is out for revenge as they are the only team to lose to new mexico since locksley has been head coach.
bladerunnr said:The really compelling game on the board is Oregon at USC. Oregon only +7. SC has a really poor defense this year. Both teams can score but can SC stop Oregon? Can anyone stop Oregon? I don't think SC can.
Bodog rarely has moneyline bets but I would bet Wyo. on the moneyline this week at +325. I think we can win outright.
laxwyo If you're going to bet the moneyline at +325 for an outright win said:You hit a 7 team parlay? The odds of that must be about 10,000 to 1. You are right. Oregon is -7. The game is at SC and on grass, which might slow Oregon down a bit. Maybe we should have kept our grass field and then let it grow to ridiculous heights (like csewe used to do) to slow the other team down. I used to listen to some gambling programs but I soon realized that they are guessing just like we all are.
I'm going against my instincts betting Wyo. this saturday. When you look at our offense and how little it's produced, it's hard to bet on us. Twenty points last week but 7 were the result of a pick 6 and 3 more from a byu fumble. Still the defense is playing pretty well and I think it will keep us in it.

Last time I played, i was up huge in blackjack and then lost my bankroll, but had a 3 game and a 7 game NHL parlay that day that both connected to save my butt. Cashed out cuz I thought I couldn't control myself.
Oregon is +7 or -7? +7 seems like a no brainer since they are going to win. I think all the USC lover money coming in has moved the line.
When I did bet, I rarely bet on my team (Pokes). No matter how hard I tried, I never could be objective enough. I found it best to bet against my teams with small sums. Then, either way, I was happy. Unless of course, they lost but didn't cover!
Have you ever listened to Hardcoresportsradio on Sirius? They talk a lot of gambling. Used to have a guy named Gabriel Morency that was really cool. Not sure what he's doing anymore. I think you can listen to them on the internet as well.

I don't think I could ever stomach putting money on a Penguins win. That'd be like hoping BYU won out or something...laxwyo said:I even had to go against the penguins.

Let me guess, you're a redwings fan?
I'd say the LeBron crap was a billion times worse. At least Gretzky didn't set up a press conference and let the world know his decision at the same time as his old team.Wyokie said:I'm not that crazy about hockey (nor baseball) but I've been wondering......
When Gretzky basically traded himself from Edmonton to L.A. in the mid-1980s, were any of you upset a la the recent LeBron bullshit going to Miami :tickedoff: ?
Asmodeanreborn said:Hehe, we obviously completely disagree. Crosby punching somebody else in the balls from behind while his teammate had the guy bent over in a head lock means he'll never get any respect from me. That should've been a 5 game suspension at the very least
Also, the hatred for Red Wings is gone. The rivalry is dead. I'm happy neither team made it to the Cup finals this last year, but I honestly could care less.
As for Stamkos and Tavares - they haven't received even a fraction of the attention Crosby and Ovechkin got. Stamkos is an incredible talent who is fun to watch, Tavares hasn't won me over yet. He's very skilled, but also seems very flat footed compared to other top prospects as of late...
Also, I was never a big fan of Gretzky. I felt he got a lot handed to him, compared to Lemieux. Touch Gretzky, and you would likely leave the rink on a stretcher. Mario on the other hand played very physical, a lot like Forsberg, actually... and unfortunately, that was also part of the reason they played relatively few games. Same goes for Lindros, probably...
