This Boise @ Nevada game is just a shoot out but Boise secondary is really strong and I'm worried about that.
What on earth are you watching? The Broncos are getting lit up in the secondary.

3 Interceptions, That's not exactly lighting anyone up.

I guess it depends which plays are emphasized. Nevada had 2 plays of 30+ yards all season through 4 games. Tonight? 5. All through the air. #30 is getting destroyed.

Ok when I watch MWC games I watch them more so scouting how I think they will handle us. I'm worried about that because they have proven they jump routes and can get Interceptions. Boise is 5th in the nation in Interceptions they know how to get them.

We're tied for last with 0, So I'm concerned about that as well. Grant had 4 picks against Air Force but I'm actually worried that if we were in that same spot we might not have them. We seem to always get good looks at them but can't ever seem to catch them.

So I think after the last few weeks of watching games it's hard to say wtf is going on in the MWC one week a team looks like crap the next they look amazing. There is no consistency at all so it's hard to figure out what anyone is capable of.

I do believe that CSU & Boise are the hardest two remaining games Utah State I'm clueless about they change from week to week. I know they have a fairly solid QB but I want to see what they do against Air Force before I really decide on that.

I can't believe the amount of inconsistency in the MWC I can't pick games to save my life but I can pick games in P5 conferences because they have tons of consistency. This Boise @ Nevada game is just a shoot out but Boise secondary is really strong and I'm worried about that.
Hawaii's offense still sucks, UNLV is back to sucking (last year was an aberration) and New Mexico has never really had sustained success other than Rocky Long.

Air Force seems to be getting back to how they used to be a few years ago.
Nevada's defense is doing okay tonight, but their offense is misfiring badly.
SDSU is not looking that good this season.
Fresno has a QB that makes their fans cringe badly (as well as other) but has somehow led Fresno to 2 conference wins.
USU's o-line held strong against BYU, but BYU has no pass rush to begin with, all other games their backfield would get hammered. At least their backup QB is good and has experience.
The sheep beat Tulsa, but Tulsa sucks pretty hard this year.
Boise is very turnover prone, and once they start turning it over, they can't seem to stop until the game ends (Ole Miss and Air Force games). But when they don't, they're pretty solid. A very "one extreme to another" sort of team.
SJSU edged out UNLV. Don't know what to make of them so far.

And then there's us. Be it against top 10 teams of lowly FBS teams, we always seem to get 2 TDs. That's pretty consistent. Against not top 10 teams, we edge out our opponents, in large part due to our defense that is very stingy in the red zone. We also have probably the best RB tandem in the conference (tandem, not singular, though Wick is giving Jay Ajayi a run for his money, without the TOs).

Utah just beat ucla too. Jeez. I cant think of a weekend of college football history with this many upsets.

Tonight was bananas. We had Montana State/SacSt up on one screen, Utah/UCLA on another, and Nevada/Boise on another at BWW.. MSU/SSU finished with both teams in the 50s and MSU scoring on a last second TD. Utah/UCLA finished on a missed FG, bullshit penalty, and another missed FG, and Nevada wimpered away in the last two mins.. just insane finish to tonight. That's tiring.

I'll stick with what I said about the conf at the beginning of the season, it is full of parity. Any team can show up and win on any given night. I still think we'll see mostly 4-8 win teams this year. CSU may be a surprise, but again, who really knows when we see them get dismantled against BSU. As bad as Haw is, they still play tough, just looking at how they played against Wash and Oregon St.
We're not world beaters ourselves, but I do think we may surprise several teams in the league and be in the 5-7 win area.
We'll see what happens.

The CAL @ WSU game was insane as well, Cals returner had 100 & 98 yard returns and the game ended on WSU missing a 19 yard chip shot field goal Cal wins 60-59 talk about an insane night of Football.

C. Halliday for WSU sets a new FBS record 734 passing yards in the game.

I had no dog in this fight, but was left stunned for minutes. Wild game with an impossible finish. I didn't think I'd ever see someone Brotzman a moment like that again.

Since listening to the scoutingthewest podcast I'm finding myself following Pac 12 closer just because they go over all the teams every week.

Also did anyone else notice anything fairly common between Wyoming over the last 5 years and Utah this year? I'm noticing a lot of defense on the field time, pure shit time of possession which cost them the game last week and a mediocre third down percentage.

Not surprised. DC does not care about defense.

I can't believe we're not talking about the hail mary that finished the AzSt and USC game.. holy bananas that was crazy.

Was watching the BSU vs Nevada game. Turned into a real shootout, but the 4 ints Fajardo threw turned out to be the difference.

Eh...guess it depends on how you look at it. Before that fluky INT and fumbles from BSU in the 4th, the game looked like it might be a beat down. 3 BSU turnovers kept Reno in it.
