Sawvel's behavior

I think he quote was misconstrued because of how it was posted on X. He spoke highly of Sean Lewis as a coach and went on to mention that is why he loves Wyoming fans always showing up.

He is mad at Sandvick but his QB took ANOTHER sack before the attempt. Maybe yell at your LT and your QB because those two have not been great this year. Also you are the kickers coach what are you seeing in practice

The last time Wyoming had terrible kicking was back in 2015. Bohl hated using scholarships on kickers but went out and got Cooper Roth via scholarship

While that certainly could be a factor, they are having a record season, and are on top of the conference. Put that same record at UW, and we sell out every game, no matter the opponent (AND weather).
 
I wondered myself how the sdsu crowd didn't have more butts in seats I know there's a lot more things to do in the SD area but their crowds need to support this new up and coming pac stabber team...if they beat Hawaii then more will believe i guess....it was a nice stadium all around(Snapdragon)

They’ll never have a solid fan base for football. There’s a reason the Chargers moved from San Diego. There’s a whole lot more to do there than to go watch G6 football. Personally, I loved Sawvel’s comments about their support vs ours. He’s right! And hopefully Jovon can get the offense going a bit and they can finish strong.
 
Sawful’s general demeanor makes him appear to be a total asshole. That’s not a bad personality trait, if you’re a winning head coach (see Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells, etc.). It only compounds the negativity when you’re a losing coach. Still seems to me that the role is too big or too much for him to handle, so maybe that frustration is affecting the way he presents himself.

I have been to that old Charger's stadium several times. It was dilapidated. There was a vote and the community refused to buy a new stadium. I don't understand why the crowds haven't been there. They sure support the basketball team. And frankly, I don't like the comment. I guess it doesn't really matter because the 2 schools are parting ways. Sawvel should speak to what happens on the field, not off. The fact we couldn't be competitive with a team that could produce very little crowd noise speaks even worse about us, not them.
